I just got SF4 for the PC and I’m looking for a arcade stick. I’m confused between these 2 options… I hear good things for the FS Ex2 but I’m also hearing better things and bad things about the SE. What should I do?
I like the se, it costs a little more BUT its very easy to mod with sanwa/seimitsu parts, its a common ground setup so easier to dual system mod and its 8 buttons, I think the ex2 is only 6 regular buttons and 2 mini buttons?
I just ordered the SE… I hope I made the right choice…

A hori EX2 is a bitch to mod, and only better in very few situations. On the other hand, the SE is easy to swap sanwa parts into, and if you want to get it dual modded, its much much easier.
If you weren’t going to mod, then I would have just stuck with the EX2. If you have intentions of changing out the parts, the definitely the SE. I have the SE and my friend has the EX2 so I’ve had much experience with them. The EX2 is fine if you don’t mind cheapy parts that work well. The SE parts stop working and get less responsive after a while, but swapping out the parts for Sanwa/Seimitsu automatically turns it into a “TE Lite” with awesome playability.
