Received the FE today (xbox360 version) and have spent about 1-2 hours with it. I much prefer it to my TE stick (my go to stick for the last 3-4 years). I haven’t had any issues with buttons squeaking and making the transition from sanwa to kuro was a breeze and I prefer the latter to the former. The same can be said for the hayabusa stick. In short, I like everything about it. The only cons, if you want to call it that, is, firstly, that it’s a fingerprint magnet. To me this is a non issue however. Secondly, the compartment doors have much room for improvement. They are similar to what you find on the TE stick - ie. no good at all.
With regards to the touch panel, I really like it and have nothing negative to say about it at all at this point. Of course, it’s a shame that I can’t remap all the buttons on the xbox version, but it’s not that big of a deal.
Overall, thumbs up!
^ how bout hand placement? which do u prefer the TE or the FE?
It might be too early to say, but as it stands I think it’s fair to say that I prefer the FE (if taking the whole stick into account, and not merely hand placement, I much prefer the FE). I like the added distance between stick and buttons. Optimally, I think I would prefer having the same distance between stick and buttons as FE, but preserving the button layout on the TE. Take this last sentence with a pitcher of salt however as it might be subject to change due to me being biased after years of TE use.
I pretty quickly came to appreciate the curvature of the Noir layout over the vewlix style, but that’s only when dealing with 8 buttons. Since I started using button plugs, I’m cool with either.
the compartment on Madcatz Fightstick PRO is pretty good.
There’s more than enough room in the FE. The door just likes to fall off if you openit TO THE MAX. Or most of the way to the max.
Does this mean they will feel just like the kuros?
If so, this is a great way to fix those stupid color buttons on the 360 version. And you would only need to swap out 4 buttons
Edit: got impatient and tried it out for myself. Might feel the same, but the buttons aren’t nearly squared off. God i wish hori would sell the buttons separately.
Essentially they should feel the same in logic since what you should be feeling the micro switch when buttons are compressed, the casing of the buttons are more less just sitting freely on the micro switch.
Also a little note for next time, it’s easier on the eyes if you don’t include images in quotes
They feel close, but they look smaller and have a more rounded edge. So you would need to replace all 8
Personally, I hit buttons hard and play different sticks on a regular basis that I only really can feel two different settings, sensitive push buttons(Sanwa and Hori Kuro) and Seimitsu…All my sticks have different gear in them too:
Fighting Edge: Hayabusa & Kuro
Personal Metal stick: Double spring JLF & Seimitsu
HRAP VX: LS-56 & Seimitsu
RAZER Stick: JLF & Seimitsu
SOUL Edition: JLF & Seimitsu
Chun-Li TE-S: Stock Sanwa
HRAP.EX: LS-43 & Sanwa
VSHG: Stock Sanwa
I have 4 of the stock black Kuro buttons and 4 Sanwa Dark Hai casing with Kuro micro switches in my Fighting edge currently.
Pleasepleaseplease make this art and background (in these sizes) available for download! Please!
EDIT: N/m, seems you do this for $$. Sorry for the inappropriate request!
I’ve been busy with personal business lately to do commissions but since I have this file saved on my server and applied on to my stick, I don’t mind uploading the PDF but remember, it’s been done(on my stick)
More pics of the r
More pics of the razor stick pls!

Remember that the 360 version is half-gimped due to MS. You can map only the triggers/bumpers. Press the CFG button, and then hold the button you would like to map. The panel should show you which button it is assigned to. Move the stick left and right (or is it up/down?) until you have assigned it to your liking. Repeat as often as you need, and hold the CFG button again to end the process.
Nice artwork syn13, does adding new artwork to a Fighting Edge void it’s warranty
So I’ve been playing on this stick since Christmas and tried to use my old sfxt vs stick and it felt totally awkward. Noir layout ftw!
