spencer forward grapple assist makes them go into otg state, slant gets them into standing state, as far as i know
It’s kinda weird.
it honestly depends on the matchup/situation, in general if your going to use xf defensively try and save it for a guar cancel, but if your cahr is in danger of chip death or they are laming it out then yah in certain situation I can see xf being used in that manner effectively. Now on the subject of blowing it to early (), you should have strategies against level 3 xf by now( laming it out, baiting them to use it), so I don’t see using xfactor early as big of a hindrance as it used to be.
deadpool: probably the most balanced char in the game, in that he has really good shit, but hes probably the middlest of tiers. His keepaway game is very mobile and tricky, and he out zones a lot of zoners, so it forces people to change up their tactics. He has the best teleport in the game (well besdies that whole evo thing ), and has a command overhead that can be canceled (that shit is nasty). He has good normals, just some weird hitboxes on some, plus st A and launcher are both really good AA’s. I think he loses to anyone that can effectively get in on him, because he has no reversal options besides mashing on a normal, so its hard to get people off of you. Hes a good char, and is only gettign better in ultimate.
modok: He’s weird. Pretty much sums it up, but I’ll elaborate. Modok has some of the strongest corner lock down rushdown games in the game, second only to prolly powered up zero or viper. Most people think of modok as a zoning char, but hes way better in locking you down and “mixing” you up. I say mixing because he has one normal that hits low, so in general if the person knows this its much harder to get a hit. Most of modoks openings come from throwing threw his shield (bc the shield nullifies your hits but not you hitbox so he can press up against it and mash throws and theres nothing you can really do about it bc you whiffed a normal), and then he does crazy combos on you. his grab super is super useful in punishing supers, since it has invincibility, plus you get a full combo off of it. His beam hyper has a lot of weird properties even not powered up (it beats dorms ball free for some reason), and he can loop his battering ram hyper in the corner. Modok has so much potential but hes just so weird to play, that many people just don’t bother, but he is definitely a killer in waiting.
well if there blocking there blocking, task cant just will people open like magneto or wolvie. If you think about it what mixups does task even have? If you said throw or not throw, you are correct. call sent drones as you wave dash c. L frame trap em will open them up if they are not blocking correctly, and if they are blocking just wave dash wait and throw. They’re too scared to do anything, because of drones. You can do some really gimmicky crazy stuff with the other drones assist (like bating to get happy bdayed and trying to combo off the counter hit from the drones), but drones are best choice.
But yah you shouldnt really NEED to open people up, since every1 for some reason gets mindfucked when task is shooting arrows at them and sent is called. It’s like their iq drops by like 40, it’s very odd. So, zoning is prolly way more effectively, plus you can tranition back into zoning after a failed rushdown by using drones.
yes, but don’t swagger jack me please
I’m breaking that down to the new Honzo mantra, open people up with PATIENCE
So OP. But seriously thanks, it’s too easy to fall into trying to force that throw or beat them with st.M I should give them a chance to beat themselves first.
How powerful do you think Hulk and Chris are?
chris seems to have hit the gym after whichever re he was in before 5, and is now a COG like meat like tank of a man, in which no geogological barrier will keep him from his goals. So, this hunkiness coupled with his innate disdain for geology is what makes him hot to me.
Taskmaster uses those wall pullup gym bar thingies, that you put up on your door. If you got a door you got a gym.
Because you HAVE NO HOPE against the Latvarian patriot himself.
X-23 honestly has way more nasty shit than wolvie, its just that wolvies are derp derp easy to do and derp derp cheap to do, so thats why. I mean we all saw those x-23 assist me videos ()
Ammy isn’t boring, shes just subtle.
AAAAAAAAAAAEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Wesker actually makes his own shades out of a regenerating bone tissue found on one of his ribs, he stole the technology of marrow and applied it to himself.
you might be right, but much like a whore at a frat house, I DESIRE MORE
questions of course
I need help when blocking a specific “set up” of spencer:
Taskmaster assist, arrows go shik shik shik, spencer jumps and goes all grapple hook in the air and that equals a weird crossup (or sometimes no crossup) and I get nailed.
I run Magneto, Amaterasu, Doom (MAD team hell yeah)
I have serious problems with beam assists set ups, specially task’s since they are quite fast.
Some tips, please? To punish, avoid the setup, something. What I did was jump back and spam disruptaah, but I don’t know about that.
Looooool I remember this commercial… Hilarious
How the hell do I beat Wesker with Viewtiful Joe? Tired of getting hit into 75% health cambos.
Speaking of Viewtiful Joe, what are your opinions on him?
taskmaster is not really offensive (hence his health). I say this because he relies on frame traps and the opponent fucking up for an offense. As I have stated many times c L wave dash c L is a frame trap if you fuck up davance guarding or are mashing you get hit, so thats a great way to open up someone. But if they just block theres no way you can hit them. Pairing an assist (such as dorms dark hole) with task opens up unblockable combos, but I am bad at doing them mid match I honestly need to do them more myself. Using a low assist with tasky is a great offensive tool since you generate free unblockables off of a poke and you can go into a combo (see combofiend).
But I will always suggest a smart defensive play is better with task.
I DO NOT OWN A PS3
anyways on the task relaunch its just a specific timing. Generally you are supposed to start charging near the peak of your jump so all three arrows hit then you land and then do your relaunch. A specific tip on making it easier is to try and have your opponent as high as possible above you when you finish your air series (mmh swing mhs). You can do this by altering the timing of normals based on how high they are or just by delaying s a little bit, but the higher they are the leaner the timing is. I would just practice it a lot. OH and on big chars do a jump forward then relaunch, someone like tron or sent requires the arrows to be more spread out for some reason.
As president of the Honzo Gonzo fan club, I dub this thread the greatest MvC3 thread ever.

hulk: I love hulk, so this may be a bit biased. For starters, st H. I also love his gamma charges being used as either semi-safe pressure or as a rush mechanic. GAMMA CHARGE FULL SCREEN THE GAMMA TSUNAMI RAWRWARWARWAR. But yah hulk is very easy to understand, but when you piar him up with good assists (deadpools otg) then you get some crazy setups. Plus he can do almost a million damage with my assists on my hulk team, so I love him. Plus he can just make the opponent feel stupid and not press buttons and you can just air command grab them (they will always jump back in the corner). If hulk had a wave dash he would honestly probably be top 5. Plus he has awesome new costumes.
chris: I like him kinda I dunno. I understand hes a good character but hes also bad. I feel that his damage comes from zoning people into a combo. I know that sounds weird, but it seems to be the best choice with chris, because if he purely zones he’ll get blown up, and if he rushes down without using his zoning tools, he’ll get blown up. I feel chris most benefits from blowing up assists, a fantastic air grab, and pretty decent normals (s H is one giant hitbox). He also has the potential to do crazy damage off of one touch (linking two supers, level 3, straight xfactoring). PLus his xfactor chip is crazy. See atashiwa or llnd for good chris’s.
edit: they’re both capable of killing every1 by themselves so they are both very powerful, I think hulk is better though.
Honzo, how do you mind fuck a player so much that they will die to repeated full screen plasma beam/finger lasers?
you can just disrupter the task assist then deal with punishing spencer, you can just jump back disrupter, you can just super spencer if he already committed to the air dash, if he mistimes the assist you can instant air grab spencer, you can block, you can just mash super jump when you see it coming, or dash foward while calling doom so you block the arrows and doom beams/or missiles spencer, you can refelct the arrows with ammy and then immediately change to high counter.
hes kinda of a bad character :(, he has wacky synergy and some very good supers, but hes still viewtiful joe at the end of the day. vommerang spam is pretty good, and slowing down your opponent also slows down the recovery on their moves, so you can punish whiffs way easier. Overall hee has some cool things but I mean…(looks at wesker):looney:
She actually does because she wears her nun regalia
hes actually not a doctor
just juan
he was raised by nazi’s and nazi’s are all gymnasts (see hitler)
its already being made, the girls just don’t know it yet
