Taskmaster’s M counter should counter mid as well as low. Really, he’s supposed to have a defensive playstyle. Make that about more that spamming arrows.
holy shit really? that’s the team I made up yesterday  I came up with sick Deadpool combo that does 800k with 1 bar but man that shit is difficult.
on topic: hi honzo how are you?
I thought it did at first, in fact, I read somewhere that it did. Then when Deadpool’s were Shoryukening me after a counter-bait I couldn’t help but shake my head… Spamming arrows doesn’t really work either. A lot of characters have a way to close the distance or chicken block if their way in if they want in order to punish even the most skillful of arrow zoning. It’s so much easier to just mix up instead with some high-tier character who can do it 4 different ways.
Sir Honzo, what does Taskmaster need to become S-Tier? I don’t care how low his health becomes, I want a fair matchup against Scrubneto and Dantgey.
Not as bad as Doucherine.
I prefer “MagNegro” instead and “Braindeadsker”. I called him “Fagerine” but “Doucherine” is 20x better
Also I hate Zero so much he doesnt even get a nickname I just call him “dickface”
tk L arrows shut down her sj beam game pretty effectively, you just have to out guess her. She technically wins the zoning war, so its probably best just t o pressure her/anti air her. Effective ways to deal with the trish dive kick, is to cross it up on the ground and anti air it or just accept the mixups and just counter hit her. it’s a hard matchup, where you ahve to be smarter and out guess the trish player, its just that when you out guess her just make sure shes dead, don’t give her chances to escape from death.
his unblockable is trash? Just because it isn’t broken like vipers doesn’t mean its not good.
good had a nice evening with a friend
mighty swing + on block, arrows were faster, arrows caused minimal hit stun deterioration, his unblockable couldn’t be pushblocked
prolly make him better
The unblockable really is that bad though; it’s the equivalent of Hsien-Ko getting in with a Senpu Bu cross up. The chances of it working are slim and the chances of you applying the right sequence and not whiffing is relatively high (I eff up Chris’ Boulder Punch H at least 20% of the time after the second jab. Taskmaster’s is even worse). Don’t get me wrong, I’ve seen people use it in conjunction with X-Factor to create a really nasty setup, but that setup itself is usually after you kill off a character and get the free (Incredibly stupid) 4-way mixup with any character of your choice. If they can avoid being pinned down, that setup goes right out the window and you’re back to playing footsies, air throw battles, and arrow harass just to land a hit. Right back at square one with the idea that you didn’t have an unblockable to begin with.
I thought Spidey Swing was + on block? At least, I’ve never had anyone punish me when using it… What’s the actual block stun to frame time ratio?
I love arrows for one simple fact: they stall your air momentum. That alone really throws a lot of people off when facing Tasky; however, it doesn’t always seem to work. Regardless, faster arrows or perhaps Zero-like chargeable arrows would really make my day.
If you manage to land that unblockable, there should be no doubt about it, your ass is getting a free combo. No more of this followup B.S, give me lots of hitstun without dropping a crap all over combos with hitstun deterioration and the ability to follow that shit up with even a raw tag combo. Or a dizzy-effect, that would work too.
don’t play shitty ppl, its a free air throw, -6 on block
Naw, I’m just bad.
if they block it in the air its an even easier punish, you ain’t combofiend don’t blindly do it
I was being sarcastic :D. I never blindly spidey swing, never use it during block either.
Are you dropping the dog in ultimate, Honzo?
I’ll invariably use every1, because stream monsters like seeing a variety of characters, but for tourny play most likely. Not having her assist is hard to get used to though.
Is Ammy’s air-dash cancelable through attacking or weapon-changing in UMvC3? I haven’t heard anything confirming or denying that yet. It’s the difference between me using air-dash sparingly or not at all.
And I’m assuming that means Divine Instruments is mashable if Okami Shuffle isn’t since Capcom said everyone has a mashable hyper (although I would not be the least bit surprised if they forgot to make one for her. #pessimist). I definitely don’t mind extra unscaled hyper damage. She’ll probably be an anchor for me on day 1 because I want to see just how stupid she will be with XF3 speed and Veil of Mist active.
Oh yeah, just how significant is the speed boost? Gotta know that before I get hype for XF3 + slowdown corner mauling.
ammy’s air dash can be canceled via weapon changing, but it kills all momentum, and we don’t know if its safe or not. Plink dashing with ammy will prolly be the most useful way to get in now, but you gotta get used to it.
Having no speed boost to even 30% is extremely drastic change to her, I wouldn’t be suprised if she had lvl 1 xfactor infinites tbh.
If you were to teach a new player how to play the game, what would you start them working on first? What characters would you teach them to use to get a good basic grasp of the game? What mechanics (besides basic combos, of course)? I remember trying to teach a friend how to do stuff and realizing that I had no idea where to start them other than training mode stuff and Arcade and pointing out stuff they did online while watching them (and learning stuff myself in the process).
If I can try to help, Deadpool is the easiest character to learn the game with.
You spelled Hulk wrong.
I think ya’ll spelled Ryu/Wolverine wrong.
