I haven’t been to Hong Kong in a while…I’ve always had the impression that it was mainly a KOF/Gundam VS series kind of place.
i found the namco place at causeway bay… nice 3rd strike comp but NO wat so ever marvel… not even noobs
You won’t really fin Marvel comp in HK, I dont think it is played there. 3rd Strike and KOF and VF though you will find alot of comp if you go to the right arcades. “Prince Edward” is the main location for 3s comp in HK in case you are interested.
Most Asian cities find Marvel a stupid game.
i went to HK in april… nothign there much… i know there is an arcade in Kwun Tong… but when i went in there… it was shady as hell… adn you could visibly tell that some of the people in there were Triad (watch out!). … i nkow Mong Kok has a few arcades, but from what i saw from outside those were shady as hell too… The only one that i went to that wasnt’ shady as fuck was “Diamond Hill Mall”… in the upstairs section of the mall… there is a Third Strike machine there… competition is raggedy as hell… and thats coming from me… i suck at third strike.

Hahaha you went to that one too? I played on that one as well, only 1 3S machine there, sucks. But the place’s safe, no gangs whatsoever, so it’s all good. Actually the ones in MK isn’t that bad, it might look bad from the outside but it’s actually good, but some ARE real bad.
As for Marvel, you already said it, Namco @ CWB had the best comp I’ve ever seen in HK, I don’t play MvC2 but I know how the game goes, and CWB had the best comp. Well maybe you should search the fightclub forums for more info, Shatin and Wan Chai have some good comp.

yeah i remember when i was there… fucking KOF NEOWAVE signs everywhere… in Kwun Tong where i was staying there was the biggest fucking billboard of Andy and KOF NEOWAVE logo… it was like… OMFg… waking up… look outside… HOLY SHIT ANDY BOGARD 
but yeah… if you want to learn KOF… HK is the place… anything else… you might as well be screwed.

You went to the wrong arcades for 3rd Strike, they have tons of top tier good competition there. Hong Kong is full of arcades, just have to know the right ones to go to.
thats what i heard originally… but i never found it… and where there were lots of people… there was lots of shady lookin folks… and i’d rather not get PWNED in a country that i don’t know very well
