Sounds good, which arcades do you usually hit up? Is it just the GameMax in Causeway Bay? It’s a bit late for me tonight, but I’ll almost definitely be out and about tomorrow and Monday. When do arcades usually close? Gotta do my family duty and have dinner with my uncles and aunts, and that usually drags until 9:30-10:00
I mainly go to GameMax, yeah. Tomorrow and Monday sound good. Not sure when GameMax closes. Probably an hour or two past midnight.

Ended up trying out Smart Game in Mongkok after all tonight, it’s even worse than it was one year ago when I visited. Terrible buttons and 2011 AE really screwed up my Dee Jay. I kept trying to combo into Ultra 1.
There’s nothing more frustrating than losing to awful button-sets. There was a fairly good standard of play there, though. I don’t understand why these players who are clearly good don’t just go to arcades where there’s AE 2012 and proper buttons.
Haven’t been back for awhile, been away from HK for awhile, then there’s CNY, then there’s Soul Calibur 5

Dat SCV… ugh I think I’d be buying that game for all the wrong reasons. Anyway I updated my arcade guide with the Hung Hom arcade. That place is godlike, 4 real Vewlix cabinets!

Hi there, I’m going to be in HK next week for a while. Do you know where’s the best place to play SF4 and what times are best to get good competition? also anywhere that has KOF13 as well as I am interested in learning the game.
Is there a console scene of any sort as well? I was wondering if anywhere will be doing some sort of SFxT setups that I could try
Check out Aghama’s arcade guide. No console scene as far as I’m aware of though Aghama just got SFxT. Central should have KOFXIII. Wan Chai and Causeway Bay don’t. Not sure about the other places.

Nearest place I found was SmartGame in Mong Kok. It looks like there 2 setups. one with the old AE with Oni and Evil Ryu not yet unlocked and the other I think is 2012 but don’t count me on that. It does have Oni and Evil Ryu unlocked though.

Yea SmartGame is the typical place to go in MK. They are both 2011 which is why they cost $3 lol… too bad there’s always one setup with a broken button or something -.-
I’m coming into town next week. Prob around April 7th - 15th…short stay. But looking to play some SF for sure.
Ahgama, glad you went to HungHom. That place def use to have the best set up when Vanilla was out. Glad to hear it’s confirmed they have AE 2012 now. I’ll hit you and Nach up when I am in town.
