The only educational shit I’ve seen on television lately is CCTV (Chinese channels). Of course, because it’s either you learn about stuff or you get communist propaganda.
The regional channels in China? Not so much. Most of that rivals Japan in the, “Let’s see how many shows we can get of people talking and eating shit,” department.
I did see a Chinese version of Wipeout last month on a local channel (of course, Wipeout is an American version of Takeshi’s Castle/MXC, so I’ll give Japan credit for at least that.)
