Oh no, what’s TLC gonna put in place of Honey Boo Boo? Something actually interesting like the days of old? Even the interesting shit they put out now sucks.
I’m a bit ashamed to admit I get a perverse pleasure out of this story. My heart goes out to the children of this family but I enjoy that this somewhat dispels the notion of the mythical “real america”… you know the imagery… white christian families in red states far removed from NY and LA, where morals still matter and the family unit is sacred… but the truth is that these people can be as depraved as us godless big city liberals.
There are shows like that, but Honey Boo Boo was full-on “haha, let’s laugh at those stupid fatties.”
The only ones that come even remotely close to what you’re talking about that I can think of is Duck Dynasty, and even they have faults that you can point out to call them depraved.
Hell, trying to say there’s someone out there that isn’t depraved in some way is foolhardy. (Not insinuating that you’re saying that, because you haven’t.)

Why, why must any of this exist?
I don’t know anything about the dude aside from him being convicted of child molestation 10 years ago, but wouldn’t it be better to see this guy’s character now rather than continually shame him for something he’s done long ago? If he’s still a sleezeball, then he deserves it, but if he’s shown that he really wants to improve, it seems extremely unfair to demonize him so zealously.
I’d be inclined to agree if not for the fact that many child molesters don’t change. Many of them just can’t help themselves or their urges no matter how much “rehab” they go through.
Not to mention that the child he molested was the daughter… yet this woman is so off her rocker that she got back together with this guy? That’s all kinds of fucked up.
