Hey SNK I noticed that you seem to prefer jumping in with HK instead of HP…is that because there’s less pushback for HHS or because it hits deeper or something?

It’s really weird, I have some imaginary abacus in my head that tells me what button to press on a jump in depending on my range. Or if I want to force a trade or not.
Um… No real que, I just went into training mode for an hour or so and kept messing around with the timing until I could get it. You can also if someone is sitting right next to you tap it hard four times and make it look like your going to hands again so they’ll go for a reversal and you can score a free punish.
LoL i had played with the idea of mapping two of my buttons on my stick to “no action” but this sounds like a smart idea. gonna try this out. people always try to dp my link to cr lp hhs hands or s rh. good hint thanks

I’ve read the info on this forum but that is all I know of the matchup. yeah i’m clearly bad and I have bad inputs but,meh. I’m pretty lost in this matchup when i get knocked down. Like my strategy goes to shit. I tried that jumping away thing, but even when i teched the hit I would still feel like i was in a vulnerable position. yeah, i connected with jab 100 times and didn’t cancel into hhs, yeah i jumped at him when he had ultra, yeah i connected with cr lk and didn’t combo into cr lp hhs but i blame those to not having played SSF4 in 3 weeks and just bad technical skill in general. I’m more concerned with not knowing how to escape pressure after the knockdown or how to effectively start my pressure once i back elf into the corner. help?

honda looks fine to me it was wierd seeing a longer range headbutt do so little damage
looks like might need to hit confirm the ex HHS, would seem like a waste of meter if they blocked the low jab and then you went into ex HHS =/
But with hit confirming though, it adds more damage scaling =/

I played horribly, I blame it on no consistency the past few weeks cuz of work.
Game 1 - I really dont concentrate at all, never block, just feeling it out i guess. I dont have a feel for how to zone this matchup correctly. and yeah, i missed ultra 2 after blocking super. Yeah, i did a lot of mp, hp headbutt, just to see if he’d punish, which he did. I also have this tendency to want to jump straight up after a blocked ex headbutt. For wahtever wrong reason i keep thinking this is safe. I guess it isn’t.
Game 2 i get wrecked again. I dont know what to do when I knock them down. Is cr mk, or cr lk a good idea on wakeup? I get away luckily. On 50/50 resets, what should I do? for instance i connect with NJ fierce on his jump attack and on the reset i think i whiff a command grab. what should i be doing?
Game 3 - i always try to be mindful of overhead reset but instead of blocking i always try to throw because my opponent only goes for the command dash after his cr mk or wahtever, i dont know why, but sometimes i brain fart. and yeah Wake up ultra not smart.
Game 4- ex headbutt beats ex headbutt i guess. i let him get me into a corner. i was really wary about trying to st fp his jump ins, ex headbutt was not working for me at the jump range idk. I drop jab xx hhs a lot in these matches. idk blame it to nerves. 50/50 reset in final round spells my doom again. blah.
Game 5 - phone call. gf talking about stuff, bothering me. i lose. fullscreen headbutts are bad, i know just thought he’d try to dash to close distance. final round, ex headbutt i guess poorly spaced, followed by sumo splash that i thought would work as AA but i guess it didn’t. sigh hate my life.
Game 6 - As Liam Neeson would say, “RElease the CRACKEN!” fucking crack so bad 
i guess it was the dash combo into reset just got to my nerves and i was not paying attention. ugh. First to Fives are mentally challenging. Down 4 games to 1 I let it go to my head really bad.
I don’t know. My game sucks, execution was horrible (punished wtih throws instead of hhs combos) but i think my hardest thing is just knowing when to counter poke with jabs or when i should be aggressive. any pointers on how i can improve? I’m really bad thanks for watching.

Finally I have some recent tourney vids to post up. This is me vs zaith, a pretty good seth player. I beat him in winners semi’s and winners GF’s. The guy who got 3rd is cities, a pretty good guile player and I threw him in losers. I will post that match up if he decides to upload the vids. I don’t think he recorded the GF’s though. In the last tourney we had last year both of them beat me, so this was sweet revenge :evil:
edit: at the end that was suppose to be c.mk headbutt x super, but at the last second I thought I wasn’t gonna be close enough to cancel hb so I just did super after mk. I should have done porkchop (cr.fp) x super instead.
