How and the heck did he do the ultra after the focus dash? just charge, and then the dash forward, back, forward? Isnāt that dash gonna cancel it it because itās 2 forwards? Iām lost.

i have been recording first to 10 contests with players of each character against my gouken.
i thought you guys might be interested in the match i recorded with personal judas.
Your Gouken has some good setups.
If Personal Judas comes on these boards a few tips - too much jumping in, too many buttslams, too many headbutts and you burn meter the second you get it - you basically never sit still or use any of Hondas pokes. Take a breather sometimes and assess the situation from time to time - you can afford to do this with Honda because he is such a tank and Gouken does not want to be near you.
I also want to add to this, STOP PRESSING BUTTONS, just hold down back. This is Honda, turtling ALL the time is totally acceptable.

he worked hard and beat good players to get to sg.

Personal Judas plays like he is absolutely frantic, which is the opposite of how Honda is played. You score some damage, get your life lead and chill the fuck out. He was aggressive when he had no reason to be. Worst off is that he was constantly throwing out moves for absolutely no reason. A pro Honda doesnāt full screen headbutt or sumo smash. He was constantly burning his super meter and never once tried to save it for big damage. At no point in he videos I saw did he sit back and just block. Playing Honda is about being a zen master. He just needs to get his hands on some xanax.
Internet hyenas lol. My comments were intended as genuine advice! What I donāt like is people thinking that SG=high level play. I am certain personal Judas has worked his ass off to get where he has but I donāt want people watching that sort oh Honda and feeling it is top level Honda play just because it is a SG Honda. My personal impressions of SG is 50% are very good players, the other 50% are grinders. I donāt know what it is like in the US but in Europe there a handful of our best players in SG but most of the top players never even touched CM.
Anyway I have no beef with personal judas, just wanted him to know there is stuff he could work on - I have plenty myself! Good luck with your videos.

lol, i can see that point of view, but he took 6 games in a row off of me during this set.
i cant criticize that.
i have to respect it.
the guy has beaten me in championship mode on a regular basis as well.
before we recorded this set i played a first to 10 casual set with him.
i won, but it was 10-7.
if someone can beat me i feel like i can learn from the video and new gouken players can see how gouken works in the matchup.
when we started recording i felt bad because i was up 4-0.
i thought that it would be a bad example of the matchup and i wouldnt be able to review it to improve my own game.
then he beats me 6 in a row.
i dont care why i lose; my only goal when i play is to win with gouken.
if someone beats me with crazy crap that shouldnt work, all i want to know is how to beat it.
anyway, it has been really difficult to get these last few matchups so i appreciated personal judas being a real player that wasnt scared of being recorded.
the last few gens i have played against havent been able to beat me at all during the casuals and the proās are too busy with prereleased super!
i have 5 days to finish my project, so i am not going to blast a guy for headbutting or butt dropping too much after he beat me 6 games in a row playing that way.
edit - i wasnt talking about your post tamanapants. that was legitimate advice. with personal judasā reaction time and intuition he would probably beat me by following that advice.

wow i thought i played an agressive hondaā¦but that guyā¦ lmao. He just keeps burning meter, and throwing out random shit. Whenever I playā¦ i try not to use ex unless if it is neededā¦ I always save my meter for hands to super. I also know when to just sit back and wait for my opponent to make a mistake.
