Honda Combos

Hmm that’s pretty clever usage of strong’s range. I should try that, thx.

I was only using turbo to see if it was possible in the first place…it’s not as though I expect it to make me any better. I’m decent with cr.LK, cr.LK but I just wanted to see right away whether it was possible or not. Thanks for the more sane combo, though.

Anywho, the second combo I put up there apparently only works on certain characters, so it’s really not that useful.

Don’t even speak on button mapping. I played against some scrubby shit talkers on the campus a week ago. Two of them set throw to [], and PPP and KKK to Tri and X for easier EXs/Ultras I guess. I must’ve had a wtf look on my face because they said, “Oh there’s room. You don’t even need the light punches and kicks anyway…”

:looney:

Turbo function does not auto-combo one frame links so you’re better off doing it urself actually. I tested it the other day when bored and holding down c.lk does not auto-link the c.lk’s. In fact, it was easier to do just normal timing one framers for the challenge mode.

That happened to me, too. The link connected sometimes, but not all the time.

Far standing fierce xx super. :wtf:
crouch fierce xx super.

RE: Boxer combo.

I can’t for the life of me land standing strong after hands on gief and ryu.

I dont know if it works on everyone. I’ve tested it on boxer, abel and it works on them. I tried doing it on honda and it doesn’t seem to work on him. I haven’t had time to try it on anyone else yet.

But for any character that it doesn’t work on instead of doing s. strong you can substitute it for another FP hands and then super.

So for now

This combo connects on Balrog, Abel, Dhalsim
j. RH, FP Hands, s. Strong xx Super

Above combo doesn’t work on Honda, Blanka, Chun, Ryu, Zangief so use this:
j. RH, FP Hands, FP Hands xx Super

I’ll update the list when I test it on everyone else

oh and I think the most damaging thing to do after landing a focus that doesn’t require meter is cl. Fierce, cr. Jab xx FP headbutt. if you try doing FP Hands instead of headbutt you won’t be able to land a s. RH so you might as well do the headbutt. more dmg and knocks down

anyway i was doing more testing and for two meters you can do 534 dmg. figure this might be a better combo to use unless you know doing the super is going to kill him. at least this way you’ll still have 2 EX meters for your headbutts and what not.

anyway this combo is basically the challenge combo with stuff added before it.

j. RH, cr. forward, FP Hands, EX hands, cr. jab, EX butt slam
534 damage for 2 meters. it’s a lot harder to execute just b/c i suck and cant tell yet when ex hands is gonna end.

anyway good option to save some meter plus it looks fancy

hands links into ex hands without any punch? never tried it sounds very fancy

yeah +10 frames on FP hands. linking EX hands is a 2 frame link. the tricky part is finding the right time to start mashing so it comes out right after the FP hands and doesn’t extend the hits on it

can i do c.lk after ex hands and then buttslam?

EX Hands are +4 on hit, so only c.lp connects. c.lk is 5 frames.

i dont know anything about frame date x_x. i just got into c.lp hands even though i was winning without it man headbutt into super is so great when you have it…if the meter system was like 3rd strike ugh honda would be deadly and NOONE would say otherwise even though he is now

Can somebody decrypt these for me? I have no idea what they mean.

Example, the first one.

1b) j.:hk: or j.:hp:, :mk: xx :hp: Headbutt

2a) j.:hk: or j.:hp:, close :mp:, cr.:lp: xx :hp: Headbutt

2b) j.:hk: or j.:hp:, close :mp:, cr.:lp: xx :hp: Headbutt xx :l::r::p:

jump in with fierce punch or roundhouse and then immediately do close medium kick (medium kick is also nicknamed forward) and cancel that into fierce punch headbutt.

j.rh, cl.mk xx fp headbutt is what it’s usually seen as.

thank you sir

Can somebody decrypt this for me?

What is: j. RH, like I know “j” is jump, but what is “RH”

and what is this: “cl. Forward”??

street fighter originally named their buttons Jab, strong, fierce for the punches and short, forward, roundhouse for kicks. So a lot of old school SF players use those terms. FP = fierce punch/ hard punch and RH = roundhouse/ Hard kick. If you think of Shoto normals then you can see how the old names are appropriate.

What about “cl. Forward”??

What’s that?
