If you’re lookin’ to play SF4, it might be a good time to go. Last Sun was just me, some of team MGL, and a couple randoms. Wait was like 10 min, and that was when they only had two cabs. Now they have 4.
Depends on what makes it “worth it” to you. There’s no telling how tonight will turnout, and I was only there for 2 hours last week, so it could’ve gotten mad busy. I’m assuming your goal would be to play as much as possible while you’re there…that being the case, SJSU having 4 machines now should be good enough to satisfy that need. I was there yesterday and had guys starting a new game every 5 min or so…seemed pretty fast to me, but I was on the machine the whole time…
Definitely. Playing as many games as possible, meeting new people, having fun and so on.
My buddy and I aren’t from the South Bay, but I’m trying to enjoy having Sat/Sun off as long as my work place sees fit. We’ll probably be there around 6pm when the Bowling Center opens. Going to attempt to stay as long as possible.
GG’s to everyone tonight. It was definitely worth the trip out for my friend and I. Hopefully we’ll be visiting a little more often. If anything it was a giant incentive (Bowling Center + seeing the campus) for me to hurry up and transfer there
Abel is really fun to play and I’m going to try to get better with him. Blanks was fun to play as well.
Also anyone know who the guy who was racking up 10+ win streaks with Vega/Sagat was?
Is the “automatic match” feature in all the arcade version of SFIV?
He was good but, he lost a couple. I lost to him like 4-7 overall cos I was trying all the characters out. He was cool though. Thanks to him, I witnessed 1st hand the gayness that is Sagat.
Yeah there’s 4 cabs, but 1 got peaced out half way through the night.
His Sagat was no problem(saterday night), but still good(he made very good with his fireballs though, I’m impressed) I was jumping straight up or fliping back over sagats fireballs like SF2 and then threw ex booms threw his tigers, but his Vega was a big problem for my Guile considering that my flash kick and c.ferice gets stuffed by Vega’s jumpins, I going to have to pick up bison or ryu against Claw players for now on(my Korean pride was going up the roof that night against Vega). Vega\claw has always been a tough counter match for Guile anyways since ST. I have seen that dude at Sunnyvale GL at times playing MVC2, never thought Id be seeing him pick sagat and use him like old sagat from ST…Tiger, tiger, tiger…Good Games.
Yeah good games man. Er I think when I he did a Tiger uppercut and it traded hits, if he recovered first he tiger knee juggled you on the way down. Or something like that.
He used regular wall dives, but he would combo into the EX ones because they hit going up and grab you coming down.
I dunno if my Abel was solid that was my first time using him. Ironically it was the character that finally ended the Sagat players streak when all the characters I’d used before failed.
But yeah you can connect his super and ultra off cr.FP. I saw Abel players (REAL ones ) doing it at SFSU when I was there. I just attempted to do what I saw them do. He seemed like a good character though. Maybe I should be using him instead…
