can’t wait for this to come out on console!! (^O^)/
This game is addicting once you get used to it. After awhile, it doesn’t seem sluggish at all. I like it.
School of SF4?! wth, LOL…fool, I’m not that good yet! I’m still learning. I’ve only been playing for 3 days. Just been reading about the mechanics and watching vids during class whenever I’m bored. I’m still trying to learn how to use the focus attack effectively. This seems like the core of the game. Gameplay wise, I think it’s solid enough for old and new school players. Although, new school players at SJSU should learn to stop jumping in so much. This is ST style folks with a bit of 3S thrown in, without the parries.
Omg, I think we should all have signature characters. There are way too many Ken’s, 3 Ryu’s (me), 1 Abel, 1 Blanka, 1 Honda, 1 El Fuerter (Rom now I guess since he has some sort of fetish for masked men in tights with wall dives and grabs you between their legs with their crotch all up in yo face), and did I forget to mention, a whole lotta Ken’s?! -_-’
No, unfortunately, we don’t have the pretty machines with the card readers like the Japanese. It’s all American stand up cabs, H2H though.
Andry, dude…you’re all up in this. I LOVE IT! Be my sensei!
Aight, can’t wait to play with you all tomorrow. Late
I’ll probably try to play El Fuerte in a manner where I’ll win… but spamming the body splashes is just way too fucking fun. The hilarity factor in winning through that is unbelievable.
Guys, we’re gonna get another pair of SF4 cabinets, however, those cabinets will only be here temporary. They will be going to another city before the end of September, so Eric is strongly suggesting, that to get the most usage out of these extra cabinets while they’re still here, that we schedule our next tourney BEFORE the last week of September.
He asked me to quickly find a free weekend thats not taken by another tournament elsewhere, however, with us having the only SF4 cabinets in Nor Cal, I’m not sure if we really need to worry about any other arcade.
I need to get down (up? Who cares.) here one of these days. 75 Cents isn’t a big deal when SVGL’s T6 Machine is set the same way. You get used to it after a while. It’s the price you pay to play. Can’t do anything about it though.
Sorry I meant Happ competitions, I also discussed this with one of the Cannon bros(Ponder or Inkblot) when I played him at SJSU on SF4 and even he agreed that this game should use happ competition sticks.
You now what, I somewhat agree with playing on happ competition. It is more reliable compared to the new P360s (some are crap btw) and cheaper. When I play on P360 for SF4, i don’t feel like I’m actually inputing the motions (not that there’s anything wrong with my execution) and i guess it seems like the moves come out a split second later. Anyways, I opt for the old school feel too. :bgrin:
I’ll ask Eric (OCEguy) whenever I see him.
Edit: hm…considering the number of mashers here at school, I don’t even know how long the happ competitions would last. haha.
