It’s been a while but episodes 78-82 were all filler.
Fist of the North Star (Set 1) 6 DVD set coming out in June…preorder up on AMAZON.
36 episodes.
Getting this…
Hold on, is this dubbed or just in subtitles?
Supposedly it’t been dubbed…
One week until the Hokuto No Ken DVD Vol. 1 comes out.
If you guys want a sneak peek…there are episodes on the Playstation Netowrk. Dunno if it’s dubbed/subbed.
iS THERE a fan-based parody series on YT akin to the Dragonball Z and JoJo’s B. A. ones?
This is a release right? I’ve got the dubbed version with the drum n bass soundtrack.
Here’s what I got from Discotek media…they got liciensing for HNK:
It makes sense since Manga Ent. only dubbed the first 36 episodes…I’m not sure if they’ll bring back the drums n bass music. I hope they do.
Oh, and the episodes Toe put out on PSN are subbed only.
Not really. For one thing it had that music loooong before Yuria, “died”, and i always thought it was more a feeling for the lawless /violent nature the world has become.
(sigh) Another day, another moment some fan has wasted by not translating the next chapter in the manga (in sequence by the way).
I’m watching the TV series on Hulu.
So. Fucking. Good.
i watched all the OVAs(raoh 1 and 2, yuria den and toki den) in 2 days(except the Kenshiro Den, because ive watched that before)… too awesome.
yeah this is probably my favorite shit ever, i can’t think of anything i enjoy more - anime/manga wise.
I don’t think people realize but this is Man on Fire times 10. It just doesn’t take place in Mexico.
Hm, what do you mean? Not familiar with man on fire.
It’s an awesome Denzel Washington movie.

They mess with his girl, he punishes them without remorse while fearing nothing. The comparison is loosely based of course because HNK is much more epic.
I grew up watching Hokutno No Ken when i was living in Japan in 84…This probably explain my manliness & why i have no regrets…
Just seen this music video looks official - ox8rJQQX7zA]YouTube - Hokuto no Ken 201X - Tomoyasu Hotei (???) Still Alive [CLIP
My exposure to HNK technically first began with that shitty NES game, but thats a story for another time lol.
I first saw the HNK movie(still enjoy the dub) in 1998’ish when it got mailed to me free by westinghouse. I knew nothing about the characters but that movie was so kickass, the sheer manliness in the scenes resonated in me. It was not till fairly recently a few years ago that i finally went and got all the episodes(including first 36 dubbed ones).
I not only love the series as a kickass martial arts show, but its been a huge inspiration to me on many levels as well.
I grew up w/ this so called violent show, yet im gentle as a flower. I had no idea what they were saying as it was japanese & no subs…Yet for some reason i knew exactly what they were saying haha…
I also collect HNK action figures & statues, im such a nerd haha
