Playing fee will be $2 per hour. I’m only bringing one TV, so keep that in mind. Also, please bring your sticks, since there’s only one at Zones.
I will set up a session on Saturday if people are interested in coming down that night. Please let me know.

KOG: Alright, here’s the ABA strat I’ve been meaning to post up for the past 2 weeks now lol.
ABA strat.
Combos: Moroha Mode
-opponent near/in corner-
…2H, IAD j.S, j.H, j.41236S, land, j.S, j.H, j.D, j.41236S, land, keygrab, OTG keygrab
this -should- be your B&B combo, works on most (average and some heavies). somewhat tricky at first with the IAD j.S, j.H but doable.
…2H, IAD j.S, j.H, j.41236S, land, dash 5S, 2S, sjc. j.S, j.H. j.D, keygrab
variant for lightweights
…2H, 2S, 421H, 5S/5K, 2S, 421H, 5S/2K, 2S, 421H, keygrab
this is the corner ‘loop’ combo she had in SLASH, still good for damage as its a bit easier than the IAD combos. you will have to gauge for either 5S or 5K to juggle, or even have to use 5P in some situations depending on height of hit and weight of opponent.
That should keep you busy should you choose to try some of this stuff out lol.
Guidelines for using ABA pretty much are:
-know how/when to get into Moroha Mode from Normal Mode (keygrab, bloodpack) and vice versa.
-end combos in Moroha Mode preferably with keygrab (especially with double keygrab if applicable)
-exploit her ‘abare’ potential. random counter hit = big damage combo.
There’s more but this is what you need to know for now lol.

I -might- be making a trip up to Oahu in the near future (most likely within the next 2~3 weeks if things pan out). I’m looking forward to more matches this time around with everyone hopefully, lol. I’ll keep you all posted.

Kuro: I’ve been real busy with work so I haven’t been able to play any games at all. So haven’t even got a chance to touch A.B.A at all. I’m so rusty even trying to play Sol! But yeah let us know when you’ll be taking a trip back here so we can get some games in. I wanna try see if Evil can get a chance to play you too when you get back here. He hardly posts here but he’s another TOP GGXX PLAYER here on Oahu. Easily top 3 on Oahu along with myself and D-Pad. You won’t be disappointed. Looking forward to your return.

Kyle, Wang, Joo, is there any days you guys can play some GGXX? Haven’t played you guys in a long time. Any chance of Selovare and Cherise making it to any future sessions? Our scene all of a sudden went dead. Hopefully we all can meet and get it going again.

jantzen: i’d love to play. however, 3s/cvs2/marvel is much more serious here and i’d like to put my time in that with my busy schedule.
don’t get me wrong, i wanna play gg. but, we can’t make zones a regular thing. it’s out of the way and it isn’t exactly an arcade.
i’m sure a lot of others think the same.
If Glen had gotten AC instead of Rumble Fish 2 we’d be in such a better position – not to mention that AC may potentially get more exposure and interest here. But of course, it’s waaaay too expensive and hence Rumble Fish it was. That man is a genius. Here’s to you Glen. :rock:

I was thinking the same thing. Who the fuck is gonna play Rumble Fish? Since its been there, I haven’t seen a SINGLE PERSON play that yet. Too expensive? Well shit couldve just waited a little while for some extra dough to get AC.
In regard to my return trip to Oahu for some GGXX:AC comp, I am looking at the following times:
Dec. 6th through Dec. 10th
or
Dec. 13th through Dec.17th
Another 3 night session period (Thurs, Fri, Sat) if possible would be awesome. That and I hope to play more people as well.
Traveling elsewhere to play GGXX, if it must be done then so be it…lol

kuro: on december 8th (saturday) there is a halo 3 tournament at the zones so we wouldn’t be able to get any play in that day, just to let you know. otherwise just post when you can make it and i’ll set up sessions
I can’t help it lol. This game is too good! Dedication can even take you places. In my case it has taken me to EVO for 1st time competition experience in the most unlikely of places - the world stage, and now hopefully monthly to Oahu for a weekend of comp where the GGXX:AC action is at. Now that I know that there is accessible comp for the game in the state, I plan to make the most of it and play as much as possible to help further gameplay experience through match play. Even if there wasn’t a scene I’d still be playing like before with no comp but I’d still be playing regardless just to improve ability through execution, which is boring as hell but necessary lol. At least now I can play other people for comp even if I have to travel to another island to do so, I don’t really mind much lol. Besides, all of you that I played are very capable players at GGXX:AC so its definitely worth the trip up to Oahu for comp. Who knows? Maybe with enough dedication there will be more players from the 808 going up to EVO to play GGXX. Only time will tell for sure…
D-Pad: Dang! That would drop it to 2 sessions if I were to come up next weekend. I’d be hella bored Sat. if I wasn’t able to play some AC lol. I’m probably gonna consider coming up the weekend after for a session then. I’ll keep you posted.
