Like NKI mentioned it earlier, T Akiba is working on ST hitboxes, using HDR hitboxes displaying option.

As you can see, he’s working on old sprites, in, what i guess to be, the classic mode.
Are the hitboxes in HDR classic mode, exactly the same as in ST?

Yeah they are the same.
Except for some of the HDR changes, there would be a minor difference on Dic’s DR, Hawk’s st. HK? And maybe some others. Minor though.

In a test of Chun’s neckbreaker kick, the HDR Classic mode hitboxes appear to be more accurate than YBH ones.
How did the YBH actually get the hitboxes?
They had a debug version of ST/AE with the ability to show snippets of hitbox corners and sides (similar to how the CPS1 debug hitboxes looked). It seems they had to deduce the full hitboxes by manually outlining them in color. In most cases, it worked great. Unfortunately, since there are 3 vulnerable hitboxes mashed together (normally upper, mid, and low) at every vulnerable moment, they guessed wrong in a few occasions on where the boxes intersected.

I guess i will content myself with HDR hitboxes anyway.
He had access to the original code and the ability to modify it. I’m guessing the YBH guys didn’t have the ability to alter the code to show full, colored hitboxes.
