heh, my best was 167 and I can’t hit confirm that crap.
fastest 0.011
average 0.155
best isn’t good enough. Unless 90%+ of your scores are under .216, it’s no good. I occasionally get scores as low as .145 (and once, I got .079, a complete fluke ), but not with any sort of consistancy. Taken as an average over a lot of attempts, I get a little bit to either side of .225.
It’s worth noting that an average of exactly .216 is still much too slow. It means that, about half the time, you failed before you ever got started. A 50% rate of automatic failures before even getting the chance to try and hit confirm it is not a good thing - might as well leave it up to random chance.
I just played someone in the arcade a few days ago who was definitely late-cancelling Ken’s low forward. I could visibly see and feel the hit myself, then the cancel. But now I’m thinking the cancel window might be a little longer in the arcade version than the PS2. I definitely can’t late-cancel it on PS2. I’ll have to try it the next time I go to the arcade. To the peeps who can late-cancel it, can you do it on PS2 as well?
My best average was .167, but I consistantly get around .185. Worth mentioning is that the first visible que of a hit probably is not on the first frame. The first audible que comes even later than that. There won’t be a visual clue on that first frame nearly as clear as a dot changing color.
I can’t get under 0.2 seconds on that thing and I can hit confirm pretty well.
This is a good point. It would be worth looking into the exact frames that appear for a more accurate estimation of time.
Yeah, but what can you hit confirm? Short-short super, no problem. Chun’s crouching mk, sure. Ken’s low forward? Probably not…
it can be done on ps2 yes, but you’re right, the arcade version is a little bit slower. ps2 l.mk late canceling is not that bad though
hahaha, that game i got an avg of like .23, but i can still hit confirm low forward, but then again, i’ve been playing 3s longer than that dot game, and there’s also no noise, so i guess it depends what you’re looking for
yea theres tons of ways to hit confirm. I used to do the sound trick but I lost that skill. I’m doing the score trick now. If you hit someone with a move, youll get points. If they block it, the score doesnt change. So if I see the score change, bam super.
Wow.
Wow.
lifebar is easier!
Yeah I can. And Ryu’s c.mk->SAI. Can’t say that I hit them 100%, but when I accidentally activate on block its due to my haste and not that I didn’t know it got blocked.
I hit confirmed
me too man, me too
Yeah, I always go by sound. I also do it exactly the way Paul described it earlier. cr.MK buffer qcfx2, drum all three kicks if I hear it hit. I found it is way easier if you start using Chun because the window is so big, then transition to Ken. I would say I can hit confirm about 80-90% of the time. Too bad I suck at the mental aspect of this game still.
I can hit confirm cr.MK xx SA III for Ken 90% of the time. I don’t know, it’s just easy for me.
