Hit Confirm Training

So I was playing a few matches last night and noticed that I had a lot of difficulty confirming into actual damage. For example, c.MK pokes not cancelled into specials, air-to-airs leaving the opponent in juggle state not being properly followed through, etc.

How should one properly train hit confirms or converting a hit into damage?

Set the training dummy on random block, practice your hit confirm combos, done.

what eltrouble said and also random counter hit + jumping AI for air to air CH combos. im assuming you play SFxT.

Spend a lot of time in training mode. You play Ryu, right? For example, practice hitting two Cr.mps into Hadoken, practice it until you’re sick of it. And then for a challenge, practice confirming into Cr.Hp either off a standing or crouching light punch. Actually, scrap that. Go to challenge mode and complete the combos, they provide you with everything you need to know about Ryu. (You do play a Shoto?)

I play E. Ryu but I was looking for more general advice as I’ll go to that forum for more character-specific advice.

So it’s Random Block (in this case it would be random crouch block so I can get rid of this habit of going immediately into the LK Tatsu HP SRK combo as that whiffs on crouching characters unless I can do st.FP instead of another c.MP as that forces stand) until I’m sick of it and then three more times until I’m vomiting confirms, correct?

Precisely the vomiting confirms. And if you don’t make progress, just take a break from it and then come back later.
