Hit Box - We so S Tier1!

Anyone getting a hitbox needs to make sure you’re there to pick it up when it gets delivered. They use USPS to deliver these things for whatever reason. If you are not around to pick it up, you have to take it upon yourself to try and get it re-delievered or it will be sent back. I had mine sent to my work address cause I’m never at home to sign for packages. Unfortunately it was delivered to my work address on a Saturday when no one was around. Now it’s somewhere with the USPS. So far everything I’ve experienced with this hitbox is a big thumbs down.

I’ve never had an issue with USPS. Haven’t ordered from Hitbox but sounds to me like it’s an issue with USPS and not Hitbox.
Did they leave a slip? It usually says on the back where your package went. You can also sign the slip and leave it on a door or whatever and they’ll leave it when you’re not around.

If you’ll pardon me asking. Yesterday, I placed an order for one of Rising Sun Hit Boxes, but after I placed and paid for the order, I realized that there was some sort of waiting list service on the official page. Since I wasn’t on the waiting list, but placed an order anyway, will I now have to wait my turn before I receive my Hit Box, or will the order come through right away?

I actually have no idea, Shawn’s never done this kind of thing before. If I had to take a guess (key word being guess here, I don’t know for sure), it’s because no one was ordering the Rising Sun one so he just put it up for anyone. Funny thing, even when we do really nice custom stuff people just want black. It kinda makes me sad because of the effort that goes into them, but hey, people really like black.

I guess the hitbox got delivered. Open it up and there’s 5 cracks in various places on the plexiglass along the screws :bluu:
My stance still hasn’t changed, thumbs down.

Send it back and we’ll replace it.

So I was just told by another hitbox user that their buttons were set to a “standard” TE layout. I guess mine aren’t setup this way. In SF4 for example, I can’t choose type A, B, or C in the button presets to setup the buttons properly. I have to choose custom layout and set each button manually. I guess I gotta open this thing up when I get home.

More fail…

Look, mishaps happen and we’re more than willing to fix the problem, but if you’re not willing to let us make things right then all I can do is apologize. We try our best to make things as good as they can possibly be, but we’re only human and we make mistakes every now and again.

Are you choosing Arcade Stick type A? TE’s are actually Controller Type A

I’d just like to point out what may have happened here. USPS sometimes requires delivery confirmation with their packages. If you’re not available to sign for the package, they’ll leave a note at your door, and take it back to the post office it was delivered from (i.e. the nearest post office). You then bring in the note, and you can pick it up there.

If you miss the signature, then they package will be returned to sender after a period of 5?-7? days, can’t remember off the top of my head. However, you can either call or fill out a form online that tells them to hold your package, or you can call/fill out a form online for redelivery the moment that “attempted delivery” shows up on your tracking page. It’s inconvenient when it happens, but the methods of still getting the package in a timely manner, namely the next day, are extraordinarily lenient.

I hope mine isn’t cracked! My HitBox traveled from Henderson to J&J and is going to come to Chicago from J&J. I heard HitBoxes packaging is just empty 2-Liter bottles. Luckily I asked James to use bubblewrap :D.

The cracks were caused by tightening the screws too tight into the plexiglass I think. It had nothing to do with the packaging. Mine came wrapped in a ton of bubble wrap. Someone else told me their hitbox has a crack around the screws also.

Received mine today, in perfect condition. It was also sent USPS, but didn’t require a signature; looks like delivery confirmation, not signature required shipping.

Retraining 20 years of muscle memory isn’t going to be easy. Im tripping over my own fingers, but it actually starts getting a lot easier with practice. I think the curve will be less than I feared it might be, and I can always start feeling some advantages.

I signed far back enough to be eligible for the founders discount as it says in my old email. I was holding out for a 360 box because that was all that I had at the time. Yet as it turns out now, ps3 is all I have. Just curious if I could opt for just a ps3 hitbox seeing as that is all I need and they are available. Also where would that put me in queue? Would I go to the back because I missed my oppportunity when you guys emailed me or what?

Just send our e-mail a message saying how long you’ve been on the waiting list and that you’d like to change to a PS3 Hit Box. You should be put right up front.

I love this thing but I still have some trouble. For example when I’m playing taskmaster in mvc3, I jump and immediately put in tthe motions to shoot arrows. I guess I hold onto the jump button just too long and the arrows don’t come out. Any tips to make myself faster?

If you hold Up, you wont be able to get the down or down/forward for the arrows. If you’re trying to do it low, tiger knee it.

Lesson 8 covers it.

John, if you wouldn’t mind me asking, is there a preferred method of communication in which I could get a sure answer?

Just send an e-mail to Hitboxes@gmail. Reply might not be the fastest, but you’d be talking directly to one of the Huffer brothers.

That worked, and it seems as though it’ll be shipped soon. Thank you for your responses and help.
