A few people have made this comparison and I think it’s pretty funny. Corking your bat actually DOESN’T make you hit home runs easier. The idea is that because the bat is lighter you can swing it faster/harder/etc., but in reality the cork is making your bat less solid, which puts less force behind it, and will actually cushion the impact of a ball hitting it. You’d be doing yourself a disservice to cork your bat.
Haha, alright, replace it with something else that’s not permitted. It was more of a general list of things on top of my head. :).
It’s fine, that’s just always been a silly thing to say in my opinion. It’s not something many people really know because not many people have corked a bat before.

Oh great! Aris and his whining have now made this into an issue. I suggest one of the Hitbox staff go clear this up, before things get even more stupid.
Pre-emptive warning. If anyone comes in from the other sections to post shit, I WILL INFRACT/BAN YOU!
Any info on how KOF 13 handles SOCD?
My dad bought an “appliance” from California recently and it came with a custom bag for it that is one of the best designed bags I have ever seen. The bag came free with the purchase which makes me think that the company got the custom bags for a good price. The bag company is called Dime Bags and makes very high quality gear. Check them out if you are looking for a bag solution. Their website: http://www.dimebagsstorage.com/ For the record, I am not affiliated in anyway to them just a fan of their work.
On a more related note, I was looking into building my own SLAC but now with all of the drama I have decided to wait on the ps360+ and give you guys the business, I support your ingenuity.
The bags do look well made but cost wise they’re the same price as Hori/madcatz bags.
If its around the same price as other stick bags then it seems worth looking into to me. I only suggested it because I know that they make custom bags for other companies. Hopefully they could do the same for a custom bag made for hitbox for the right price so there could be a little room for profit when selling it at a comparable price to MadCatz. Like I said, I am not affiliated and do not know the inner workings of the company. I do know that they make quality, American made bags. Plus I think they look a lot nicer than the other stick bags but thats my opinion. If Hitbox is looking for a bag solution, I think this company could be worth looking into.
My HitBox is almost at J&J, they should get it today! Can’t wait for the dual mod. Stoked.
Actually that’s a good point. Their standard bags are all around $40 but none are a perfect fit. A custom bag would definitely be worth the $30-$45.
Looks like the ol’ Hitbox website is down. May want to contact your admin John!
Edit: Back up again!
Is there any particular reason the hitbox makers want to wait for the ps360+ instead of exploring other dual mod options? As has been mentioned, there are socd cleaning kits already floating around these forums. I imagine alternative dual mod options take more time but waiting for the ps360+ has already taken way too long.
They want a solid product, not a hack job. In the meantime, support your local modders, like me!
OH MY GOD THE NEW RISING SUN HITBOOOOOOOOOOOOX!!! :wtf:
TAKE MY MONEY!!!
Wait there is a dual mod in the works? And sorry for my ignorance but whats ps360+? A dual PCB board or something?
The ps360+ would be a dual mod board but the manufacturer has been delayed. In the meantime, modders on the forums have been able to dual mod but I gather it’s time consuming and clunky.
J&J Super Modding is never clunky.
that should be infracted if you are talking about j and j and j
So if I got the PS3 HitBox I could get a modder to make it dual modded and SOCD compliant? Anyone know of NY area modders?
