Placed my order last night. Good tips in this thread so far, I’ll have to prepare for the HitBox by doing ASD/Spacebar format on PC for a bit.
Just curious, but how long did shipping take for you guys? Also, any specific characters you recommend for getting warmed up with on the HitBox? Both MvC3 and AE.
When I say “sharp”, I don’t mean it’s “ouch” sharp, it’s just uncomfortable when you’re resting your palms or wrist against it for an extended period of time.
I’ve found the best way to hold the HitBox is to prop up your arms with a pillow or something else so your hands are elevated above the HitBox. It’s not the easiest thing to figure out but it works. It would be a lot easier if the HitBox was a little larger to give you a surface to wrest your hands on. As it is, it’s something I can deal with.
Well it really not hard to play with the hitbox I play like how they say piano is very comfy and I don’t get cramps on my hands or wrist. It’s really just ur play style that’s all. If u are planning to play AE and MVC 3 with hitbox IMO play AE first it’s not super fast like how marvel is get use to doing the qcf, qcb, dps, and etc of notion once u get better them play marvel just remember u will be putting more input alot more so ur hand may be alittle cramp up. That happen to me bit I got use to it
So far I’ve been resting my hands and locking in quite a bit, the only way I can jump/cross over accurately is to hold the directional button and tap the jump.
i have a hitbox and had trouble doing HALF-circle motion. It is very weird, in arcade edition i have no trouble doing shortswingblow for dudley, but once i switch to superedition it is impossible to do SSB motion. I truly dont understand it. Anybody has an idea how to correctly input that motion? My guess is that AE is more lenient?
i figured out what causes the semi-circle for SSB to not register in Super edition with hitbox.
I also found out the solution. First let me describe the problem:
Whenever i do semi-circle backwards i hit the following inputs:
forward, downforwards, downback, back + kick
In arcade edition this input is sufficient to get the short swing blow out.
In super edition this input is not enough. You need to input:
forward, downforwards, **DOWN, ** downback, back + kick
Solution:
SSB input:
Shortswing blow in SuperEdition input: forward, down, downback, back. You dont need the forwardDown input. So to get the halfcircleback consistently i now input.
Forward, hadoken input backwards. This works all the time.
MachiengunBlow:
For some weird reason the machine gun blow in Super edition (half circle forward) does not require the DOWN input. So for MGB it is sufficient to input back, downback, downforward, forward + p.
you just roll over all the buttons and dont need to worry bout hitting DOWN explicitely.
The inputs in Arcade Edition never requires the down input. Both the forward as the backwards semi-circle can be done without the downinput. So you never need to do : forward + hadokenbackwards.
I included it in the fan made template, but here they are anyways. Also it’s standard shipping, so expect it to take 5-8 days for shipping in the US and 3-5 weeks international.
This has probably been asked, but would you guys consider placing a select/back button near the lp button for slinking/blinking? I am not entirely sure if this is banned in tournaments.
