Hit Box - We so S Tier1!

I recieved one of the earliest batches from the second generation “hitboxes” with the metal box and the plexi top. The first gen were all wood I think?

This has been a lot of fun!

I switched up the cord with a 15 foot from Lizard lick, added some large rubber feet, put in button covers, artwork, rewired the buttons to match my other fightsticks, and gave it some serious heft by mounting weight inside.

I still mostly use my arcade sticks but this is a fun way to mix things up a bit. Especially with the charge characters.

What size buttons are in that?

Do Hit Boxes still have the small directional buttons, regular sized attack buttons, and big jump button?

The jump button is a 30mm, or standard size, every other button is a 24mm, which is slightly smaller than what most stick users would be used to.

When will the all metal boxes be available?

So how long is the wait list currently? I’ve been wanting one since they first debuted and I’m thinking about finally putting the money down and getting one after I move in a month or two

Wow! This is such an amazing idea. I got a local metalshop around, where I could ask for a laser-cut control panel replacement for my custom stick. Could someone possibly post some wavedashing / qcf / kbd action in T6BR? I hopefully am not alone with that wish.

There’s been a few out in circulation for a while, but the first major release will be at Revelations. After that we start shipping out boxes.

It’s pretty long. I don’t have an exact figure, but as long as we get our parts in on time, we should be able to take care of our back orders within a month.

You might want to head over to Tekken Zaibatsu and ask Noodlehead. He’s been repping the Hit Box for Tekken for a while now.

I haven’t seen this mentioned anywhere but are there plans for custom artwork options being made available? The ability to personalize one of these things would make them even more enticing.

So I have been watching this thread for awhile and I am loving the innovation here  might even get one of these babies once you work out all the kinks :woot:

After seeing alot of people compare these to keyboards I got to thinking :coffee: Why not incorporate some of the innovations in keyboard ergonomics, such as this:

Could feel more comfortable then having two palms flat on a surface and would also give your product a style of its own :smokin:

You could just give the top panel a slight curve such as this crudely drawn image I made (I suck at paint:arazz:) A view looking at the top end with start/select buttons and usb cable:

Interesting fact: That was also the image of my dream home I drew for a custom home builder :lame:

It’s something we’re looking at, but we haven’t decided on. There’s been ways to get custom artwork for years that didn’t involve the creators of a product though, if you really wanted custom artwork you could get it made regardless of whether we offered it or not.

I’ve used Art’s site to get custom artwork for a stick, but not surprisingly he doesn’t have a template for your product yet. since I’m not sure that he will but very much like his work I was hoping you guys would offer something similar since you’re so deeply rooted in the community as it is. In no way is it a deal breaker, just major incentive.

great idea using a screen shot (with life bars no less) as your artwork zombie4u!!

i might try out your theme (first time i have seen it done, BTW) as well…

giving you full credit on the idea, of course…

Speaking as a PC gamer and a software engineer I feel obligated to say (and I think I speak for most of us) I hate, hate so called “ergonomic” keyboards. They’re bad for typing, bad for coding, and far worse for gaming. The shape assumes one particular idealized keyboard and chair and screen height/position/angle, the keys are usually needlessly chunky with huge throws and are impossible to clean, and I find the wrist supports actually make my wrists far less comfortable for prolonged use.

I bought an Apple keyboard to use for gaming on my Windows desktop after being thoroughly impressed with the one in my MacBook. It’s simple and straight and has small, sensitive buttons. I love it because it’s responsive and easy to navigate like, well, an arcade panel.

Just a thought :arazz: I personally have never used one but it seemed like an idea to at least give a moment of thought to. But I can see the benefits of a flat surface.

I hate to bring this up again, but…

JohnGrimm, have you or the Huffer brothers been able to have any dialogue with someone at Capcom about SOCD’s in SFxT or 3S:OE?

The most important question is this…

If I go to ReveLAtions would I be able to buy a dual modded version of the HitBox?? Like… are you guys planning on selling any of thhem there?

Plz help me out Mr. Karate!!!

Versus screens FTW ! Haha I certainly have no proprietary license on such an idea/theme, thanks though, but yeah man just rock the art that you want to look good on your weapn of destruction!

I just thought that due to the extreme rectangular shape of the box that something like that would be cool. Thanks for checkin it out!

We have not. Seeing as how SFxT is built on the SFIV engine, I would be surprised if it was possible. 3SOE has me worried though.

We would totally be selling dual mods if we could get the boards, but the PS360 is the only dual mod board I know of (besides the Kitty boards that need to be put in a TE or a VLX) and Akishop stopped selling them. There’s nothing we could do about it, so the handful of dual mod boards we have are going to tourney winners. If you’ve got a friend with some wiring know how, bring him along and he can wire you up a dual mod from our Cthulu board.

So you’re selling dedicated x360 hitboxes? With cthulu board inside?
