Hit Box - We so S Tier1!

We’re selling the standard Cthulu, which works on PS3 and PC. I mention wiring up a dual mod, because if you padhack a 360 controller into it, it’ll be a dual modded controller.

Awesome man… and how much are those standard Cthulu ps3/pc HitBoxes going for?

We’ll be selling them for $160.

Are you guys gonna have a setup at the booth to try them out?
It looks great but not sure if I can hang:)

We’ll have a bunch of setups playing most of the current games, maybe even a couple classics, and quite possibly one mystery game. You’ll have ample opportunity to try one out for sure.

sweet , can’t wait to test them out !

I kinda had a hurr durr moment.

I totally forgot about emulation, so I ran “the tests” on sfiii3n.zip via GGPOFBA. Behavior is the exact same as SSF4 on Xbox. Now, this raises a lot of questions, but for the time being, if 3S:OE is truly “arcade perfect,” as Capcom’s marketing claims, then we have nothing to worry about as far as SOCD’s being an issue.

We’ve looked at the Paewang, and while it would be good for a project board, the fact that it’s a solder board and the higher cost make it a non-option for mass production. Thanks for your input, I completely forgot about the Paewang.

Hey JohnGrimm, are you guys setting up a booth on Friday? If so, what time?

So wait, they’re not dual modded any more? That was one of my big reasons for wanting one

From a marketing angle might I suggest (assuming it’s not too much trouble) adding a stick with a switch allowing the use of it as either a separate analog or for standard use? It’ll allow the hitbox idea to be a lot more accessible players who already have sticks as well as versatility. Just throwing the idea out there =)

@Kissblade: this probably won’t work just because the layout doesn’t allow it. And to be honest: someone, who wants to buy a hitbox should get a hitbox and not a bloated “half-hitbox-half-arcadestick”. The marketing can be done on events like EVO, where players could have the opportunity to test it out / play with it.

Yeah I guess you’re right. Looking at the design the stick would likely just get in the way.

I really hope dual modding is not out of the picture. That was one of the major reason I put in my order request without a second thought back in March :frowning:

For all the people on the east coast unable to get ReveLations…like me…could you possibly hold onto a few hit boxes for shipping out east? I found out about these late, and want to get one kinda as soon as possible. And limiting it to only people going to ReveLations is really bad for the rest of us. I’m not throwing a sense of entitlemeny pity-party here…I just think it would be fair to your customer base if you saved a few for the east coast people that literally have NO WAY of getting to ReveLations. I understand if you can’t, but I just wanted to air my concerns. Just my 2 cents

P.S. I fail miserably with joystick fight-sticks…

You aren’t giving off any sort of sense of entitlement here at all.

I have lurked this thread for a while, waiting for my friend to get one to test it out to see if I wanted to order one as well. He put in his pre order months ago, and has yet to get one.

I tried to look past the massive delay in shipment for a while, but when I heard that they are not going to ship anything until ReveLAtions was over, that is when I didn’t care for this product anymore. It wasn’t because of the product itself, it was because of the completely bad business practice you guys are doing.

People have had their preorders in for literal months and have been waiting patiently, yet they might get completely screwed over when you guys “open back up shop” because the product they could have had shipped to them was sold to some guy that found out about the product AT ReveLAtions and thought it might be a cool novel thing to own.

Having a massive amount of your product go to sale at one location instead of filing orders to the many people who have been patiently waiting is a virtual slap to the face. It devalues the customers big time. The only reason why so many people have been waiting patiently without complaining is because you guys are the only ones that make these. There is literally no competition. Had there been another company that has been making these that put out a statement like “Don’t worry guys, we are making these AND we are not waiting for ReveLAtions to sell these, so come grab yours today”, so many people would have jumped ship almost immediately and would have given their business to them instead.

I am almost positive that I am not alone in thinking that so many people got the shaft for this, especially those that have been wanting these for so long so they could practice for EVO and other up coming tournaments. Your product was a “saving grace” for them because of them not being able to use a stick and want a keyboard-like product instead.

There’s my two-cents on this whole thing.

I hope that you guys will do something when you guys start shipping these out to show the customers that have been waiting so long patiently that you do care. As for me, consider my interest lost due your poor decision.

I hope you realize people have been waiting for months (in my case since late january) for one of these?

So are the tri-modded hitboxes still available?

I would love to try a HitBox, but I guess I’ll have to make one myself. I don’t like the HitBox layout with the directionals so close to the attacks.
