Hit Box - We so S Tier1!

You won’t break anything with trial and error. (Not electrically anyway.)

Ah, thank you. I was worried I might ruin something. If not then I can just re-try til I get it right.

Half circles work just fine. I don’t know what the hell you’re doing to get any form of a DP, that shouldn’t happen at all. I suggest (if you’re actually serious about learning to play on Hit Box that is) going to training mode and turning inputs on to see how you’re messing up. As Husser_Brian mentioned earlier if you do some mental gymnastics it becomes much easier to do. Don’t think of it as a half circle, and instead think of it as tapping back then doing a fireball.

The variety of inputs that gets interpreted as reverse-DPM in SSFIV is quite large.

That is odd, I use Ibuki and Neck Breaker and Ultra one come out no problems. If I did get a DP motion somehow, I’d get Tsuijigoe. I’ve found that SF4 is quite lenient with HCF/HCB (ibuki) I can piano directions fast ending with only the final direction pressed, miss the down input and it still works :b::db::df::f:/ same for my Ultra 1.

If you need a True full input HCB/HCF (with the down input) you need to do the inputs how JohnGrimm mentioned press direction then do fireball.

What character are you having this issue with?

My hitbox panel has arrived from blklightning, once I obtain some buttons from lizardlick (who currently has my order on hold) I will be attempting to post my thoughts on my journey to mastering hitbox.
Idk if we have something like that as of now.

I figured super was more lenient but if I don’t get ‘2’ on marvel, I get no command throw. I’ll keep working on it. I’m already doing things I struggled with on stick

As far as I know the only way to accidentally get a DP is with a dash then fireball or a backwards 360. I’ve never once in my life seen someone go for a half circle move and get an uppercut.

Hello and thanks for enlightening me about the hit box concept. I have always preferred playing games on computers with mouse and keyboard so the idea of controlling a fighters movement with buttons make total sense to me now. About 9 months ago I built myself an arcade stick, I thought it was the perfect controller for fighting games and arcade games. But damned, I was wrong.

I really like the idea of controlling motions with buttons, so much that I’ve actually started to build my own abc. I will hopefully have it finished within a week and so far it is looking awesome.

Here is a picture of how it looks like for now:

Thanks again for making the Hit box

so what is the waitlist for these again?

Guys i was wondering, what are the dimensions of those new hitboxes that you guys are selling? It seems quite wide.

I am planning on making a hit box either with a Tek-case or custom thin case with a ps360 pcb once akishop have them on the site again.

@bapex215

I had thought about having a tek-case one myself, but Art Hong doesn’t seem to support the Hit Box layout in his Case Builder.

I might talk to him later about doing Hit Box and other Fight Board layouts (WASD, 24/30 Hit Box, 30/30 Hit Box, IJKL, reverse Hit Box, etc.) and viability of those.

I’ll prollie get my pop to machine me the box when he gets left over parts from his machine shop. Planning on making two hit box. It’ll be a great bday gift to my little brother.

Hi, guys. It’s been a while since I’ve posted. I would like to give you an update on things:

We’ve had some big opportunities on the rise, and Shawn and I are using this as a green light to move Hit Box to the next level. We’re teaming up with Tournament Legacy at the upcoming Revelations tournament June 10th -12th. We’ll have a booth and everything, and this is a great opportunity to get the word out about Hit Box.

That being said, we’re investing everything into Hit Box itself to where we can handle larger numbers. I haven’t been able to respond to any e-mails in weeks or visit the thread due to the fact that I’ve been frantically preparing (and will continue to do so until June) for Revelations. I will have more details come tournament time.

Except for the last few customers I’ve been in contact with, we are freezing our Hit Box shipments from now until June. Each customer who has been patiently waiting will get priority on our official release, as well as receive a founders discount. The same founders discount will apply to my previous Hit Box customer who have purchased one of our wooden cases that would like to upgrade. More details to come.

Revelations will serve as our official launch, and from there we will continue to produce and grow. The luxury I’ve had of speaking with each of you personally is sadly no more. We’re inundated with orders, and I haven’t been able to respond to e-mails for quite some time despite my best efforts. Each e-mail still marks your place for receiving a Hit Box, though I will not be able to answer your questions in them. I’ll be sure to make a new faq that will answer most of them. I’ll also check the thread as often as possible to communicate.

My best regards to everyone who have continued to wait. Exciting things are on the way!

Any possibility of having a hitbox version capable of SOCD?

Do you guys intend to make Hitboxes with customization options? For example I’d want a Hitbox with the directions on the right side of the panel etc.

Was a little disappointed with the wait time but it’s a small price to pay for a quality product and I will be thrilled when I finally get my hands on one.

Few questions though, and this applies to anyone who has an official one. Would you say there is enough room to rest your palms down? To me this always seemed like the more natural thing to do. Overall how’s the comfortableness of the hit box?

Well speaking on behalf of the wooden boxes, they’re made at a very comfortable size. I lay my palms down when I play just so my hands don’t move at all unless I need them to for something. When I get my new Hit Box I’ll make sure to post about the size and comfort.

I won’t be precise until I get my hands on it, but what I have right now is a picture Dustin sent me for my box. Judging by what we can see with his hands and knees, there seems to be enough room.
