Hit Box - We so S Tier1!

My PS360 Hitbox I’ve had for the past 3-4 years or so is having connection issues. I’m thinking it’s probably a loose connection inside the case.
I’m pretty confident in my ability to fix any electrical issue that’s not a full-blown borked board, but I don’t recall how to get the case off. It has something to do with the rubber feet, right?

The feet unscrew, any hex screws you also need to remove are 2mm.

Been awfully quite here. I just want to reiterate… “I am never going back to stick”. However I have a request. My 2p wavedash in Tekken is still funky. Have all other movement locked down. That’s the only chink in my movement. Any help will be appreciated. Oh and I’ve studied the official video but…

Thanks.

Tried with a 2mm allen wrench, couldn’t get enough torque to get it off. Quite honestly I feel like I’m going to strip the head. Any suggestions?

I wouldn’t be too afraid of stripping a hex screw, as long as you’re using the right size it shouldn’t be a problem. If you can though, I’d pick up a hex screwdriver. The downward force makes it easier than using an allen wrench.

Use SOCD wavedash. Hold foward and hit back, back, down. Works like a charm for me. I’m still having issues with 2P side KBDC, but it’s getting better.

I have one with a 3" shaft and I still can’t get the things off. I feel like I’m doing something fundamentally wrong here, but I can’t put a finger on what. What do you guys use to tighten them?

If you’re using the screwdriver, push down on the screw as you twist. Put downward force on it to kind press it against the case and twist it. Thats what I do when I’m having a hard time getting a screw to move or come off. If you’ve stripped it a bit maybe try the next size up hex. Good luck!

It’s all done by hand, with a hex screwdriver.

@VarmintBaby for p2 Kbdc I use both hands. Back back with my right index finger, b+d with the left index+middle fingers, and then I alternate. Very fast, very efficient, and I can electric or cancel out anytime. It’s just that wavedash. I’ll have to keep practicing.

Anyone with the Xbox One Hitbox have issues with PC usage? Does it support xinput? I know the trigger buttons still don’t work.

So registered here to ask this question. Any place in Europe where they sell the Hitbox? I was going to buy one of Arcadeforge but it appears they don’t do a great job with them and buying one from the US becomes too expensive for my budget. (200 dollars + 70 dollars shipping + 60 euro import tax).

For now I’m just looking to get something decent on Ebay (or hope someone here in Europe sells his heh).

I was in this position nearly 2 years ago. If you are capable of wiring (no soldering) and a little bit of DIY you can try a hitbox without spending an awful lot.

If you’re a PC gamer only you could get a USB zero delay PCB for about £15.
If you want to use on PS4/PC you could get a Brook PS4 Audio PCB £65
If you need PC/PS4/XB/Switch you’d need a Brook UFB £84.

After that you’d need buttons and wires which are about £30.

As for an enclosure I first started with a couple of stationery boxes from Hobbycraft , less than a fiver each

I recently took the plunge on a stickless controller. I bought the lower cost, green Brook Fight Board with a breakout board from focusattack. (Perhaps someone in Europe provides something similar to avoid taxes). I then used an old MacBook box and wired things together and that has worked great. I just got my @devastator wood case so need to paint it and get everything finished. I think total, I will not have spent more than $120.

If you feel handy with a soldering iron, you could try a pad hack, which is how I decided that I could do a switch to stickless. I took a $3 Genesis knock-off controller that only had 7 buttons and was easily solderable and played with that until it didn’t feel completely weird.

A pad hack would not be a good idea for a Hitbox controller. You need a SOCD cleaner to take full advtange or the things/shortcuts that a Hitbox offers. Just get a Brook board and be done with it because they natively have SOCD cleaners…

Hey everyone.

Just got a Hitbox recently and so far I’m quiet happy. A lot of things like IAD in GG/DBFZ, dashing in general, and even plain switching between walking forward/backward seem faster and more precise after just a few hours of playing.

However I have a problem with a paticular motion. I play Cammy in SFV and I’m having problems doing fast dive kicks (EX and non EX). The motion I use is Up+Forward into QCB+Kick. I use my left thumb to press Up.
The problem seems to be that I sometimes don’t get the Down input on the QCB. I guess my thumb is still on Up when I do the the QCB and Up+Down = Up on the Hitbox.

Anyone have any tips to make it easier? Or is it just practice practice practice? Just wanna know if other people have any problems doing this move or can you get it all the time?
I hope I can get it to atleast 98%+ success rate with practice. Otherwise the Hitbox doesn’t seem an option for Cammy.

I have problems with this one. I got a little bit better with it treating the motion as a half circle backwards and pressing jump on the forwards of the half circle back

@Nevius You should be using your right hand to press jump at all times. There’s rare situations where you’d want to use your left and this is not one of them. Just keep practicing though.

Ok thanks for your tips.
Using my right hand for movement seems really weird but I will try to adjust.
