Hit Box - We so S Tier1!

If you don’t mind using other software there are a couple that work with SF5 so you can use your PS3 version hitbox. You can use JoytoKey or x360ce and both work perfect with it.

I was using x360ce for the SF5 beta, but it’s just crazy to me it’s even necessary. I don’t even think their SF5-branded MadCatz sticks are going to work with SF5 on PC if they don’t fix it. I may not support them on PC and just play PS4 if they ship the game like that.

My PS4/PC Hitbox did arrive yesterday but I wasn’t at home and for some reason this time the package required a signature, so I picked it up from the PO this morning.

Don’t have time to try it on PS4, but I did check it out on USF4 PC. On W10 it seems to show up as a “P4 Wired Controller”. Only weird thing I noticed was that the R2 (3K) button instead of showing up as like “Button 8” or whatever registers as “R Y Axis Down.” Don’t know as it really matters as it works all the same but I thought it was odd.

PS4 controller has analog triggers, that’s why it reads that way. L2 should be the same way.

Sorry, it’s actually L2 (or at least where L2 would be on a TE/TE2 PS4 stick, 3K position). R2 (HK) did not do the same thing, it is just recognized as a button in USF4.

Most pcbs recognize as both an axis and a button

Got my ps4 hitbox the other day, works great on win 10 pc, with skullgirls, testing MKX and USF4 today, I should note though that it did not work for the cracked (phase 3) sfv beta.
It also worked on the ps3 with everything.

That could be a problem right there.

3 Things you got wrong.

The SF V Beta (official) had compatibility issues. It only accepted Xinput compliant controllers.
It’s cracked.
Its Sf on the PC.

Ya I just wanted to keep people posted for when they try =)

So I finally decided to bite the bullet and go down this rabbit hole, mostly for SFV, so I got the PS4 stick.

Only issue is I play a lot of 3S a lot with guys on 360, any recommended PS4/PS3>360 converters out there?

I figured hit box players/modders would know the answer to this question since buttons for inputs are common practice. Is it possible to wire a direction input to both a button while maintaining its function on a stick? If so, how?

For instance a normally functioning 8 button stick (TE) with the 4th and 8th buttons used to input up and down while the JLF still has full functionality. Sorry if this question has already been asked or sounds dumb, I have minimal experience with modding.

After the update last night I’m getting 8 minute reset on my ps4 hit box. Anybody else having this issue ?

The new firmware probably blocked our compatibity just like it did with Brook. This has been passed onto the Huffer brothers and we will begin looking into solutions immediately.

Ah OK, I was wondering what was up. I just noticed the PS4 system update and SF5 beta update a few minutes ago. I used my Hitbox to grab the system update, and then the beta patch. The patch was huge and took a while to download. When it was done I of course got the “unable to log in” error for SF5 since it isn’t up yet. I tried canceling out of this with the Hitbox and it didn’t let me. I got a little worried since the Hitbox doesn’t work on the PC beta yet. Unplugging the Hitbox and plugging it back in made everything work on PS4 though. It probably just timed out while waiting for SF5 patch to download.

How difficult would it be to add custom artwork to a Hit Box (from HBA)?

New firmware uploaded, very easy installation method.

Thanks for the quick update, you guys rule!

Update worked perfectly!

Anyone having problems with the firmware update? When I click the .exe nothing happens. I get a loading circle by my cursor and the folder I have the .exe in freezes.

Nvm my antivirus software was the issue. It worked great!
