Allow me to fix that for you. After 7 years it’s technically the same, impenetrably stubborn guy, doing everything solo (well, there are two aids, methinks, but who cares about those guys, really).

Obscure poverty is definitely obscure… And only 1 person (plus 2 lackeys)? In 3D as well? I’m even moar impressed… 
And I love the art style. Is the artist well known? It looks somewhat familiar to me.

Besides more pre-2003 obscurity no one cares about (Garland-something, iirc), I’ve no info on him doing anything popular.
And I suspect his art looks familiar only because it’s “generic animu” (then again, I’m not particularly into that breed of CG). He won’t even give Malakh nipples, that bastard.

Hinokakera is just “for the lulz” for me, i will check it out the new version but even if Reddish Region is making more and more stuff for the game, the 3D work, the music and, specially, the gameplay is one of the most poverty things ever in the “almost-pro doujin scene”.

Right. The trial has arrived earlier than expected.
Hinokakera Chaotic Eclipse ver t1.00.
Not 4.00 or anything. Cue confusion and immense grief. Unlike those previous v4 demos, this one has the exact same content all official HK trials have had in the past - 4 characters (Raven, Silvis, Kasumi, Celes), one stage in three flavours, one music track + one in character selection screen, but you should probably mute it anyways. ODFs are in the manual, but are not usable in the game. This is poverty trial we’re talking about after all, and anything flashy costs money. All versus modes are useable, as far as I can tell.
In a nutshell, if you’ve played vt4.00-03a (and I’m not blaming you if you didn’t), you can skip it. For everyone else - the archive’s mirrored below.
So a few of us in IRC got into Hinokakera recently. We’re still waiting on the release of the main game, but until that, we’ll be netplaying demo for a while. Is anyone else out there still interested in this game?

Me, but… they fixed the netcode? because Online on Fragment Eclipse was total ass.
I like this game but i couldn’t gt use to the system, malakh seemed to be weak compare to all the others.

Fun Fact: the day Chaotic Eclipse was released, author had posted a patch for it, which, if we are to believe the blog, fixes some undisclosed netplay bugs.

It plays more or less like v3 except now there’s good netplay.

Hi there, I’m still new to this forum. I like the hinokakera gameplay and my favorite character is Kakeru (looks cool XD). Still waiting for full release hinokakera Chaotic Eclipse. My region can’t download from their main site r-region.net, forbidden , don’t know why. So hope you guys keep updating the Chaotic Eclipse here !! 
Having problems with the 4th instalment of the game Hinokakera Chaotic Eclipse. The game recognises my buttons, but it wont respond to stick movements. Really weird that the configuration tool lets you set buttons without a problem, but you can`t select directional control scheme. Is there anyway to make this work besides having to use 3rd party tools?
