Oh! i was not saying they should celebrate the 10th year of kof by remaking ss 2 or rb 2 i was only making a suggestion really, it’s allready been suggested by one other member a sort of H.A type kof.
I think that is a pretty good idea myself, me and one of my friends have had many a discussion about the possible match ups a kof super duper dream match thingy would throw up, however i dont think such a game would be possible there’s been a few diffenrent engines down the years not to mention the amount of characters, but it would be nice.
So you might ask me “HOW would you celebrate the 10th year of kof” well to be honest i dont know, but i do know that i’d not waste money remaking a game that was not very good in the first place, Also is it really necessary to release a game to celebrate 10 years of kof, now come on this is just pointless nostaliga, the money spent developing and marketing this remake would be better spent hiring some GOOD testers to work on the next couple of kof games.
Uh… am I the only one who noticed in that screenshot Time_Stop posted, Angel is in the background? Fucking Angel from kof2k1-2k2? WTF? I thought Angel was an Eolith creation, and would thusly never ever appear in any kof games… I know she is just in the background, but even so… does SNK Playmore now have rights to the Eolith exclusive chars like Angel and K9999 and May lee? Could this even mean we may see them again in a future kof?
Angel was created by SNK in 99 or 2000. She was only used in 2001. Its happened a lot, actually. Adel and Rose were designed in 99 and only used in 2003 (check the DC 99 gallery). Whip was created in 96 for Leonas spot… And so on.
BUT… May Lee is also in a background, and she was a Eolith character. Considering this and that all characters are in SNKs KOF10th website…
By the way, SNK hates K9999 (Thank God), so i doubt hell be back.
SNKP has been beasting with the games lately. Has anyone played Samsho 5 special at all? I heard its tight, and how is KOF NEOWAVE. I have some matches from that and I love the BGMS for it, but the only problem is that when u defeat a character the music stops then starts again from the beginning when the next match starts.

Kof neowave is the first snkp game made using the atomiswave hardwear arcade board it’s been said that it’s a mix of 98 and 2k2 i’m not actually sure who developed kof neowave i’ve heard conflicting storys one saying that sammy or is it arc systems were responcable for a majority the development and vice versa i’m not sure what is actually true, alot of people are ragging on the game because it does look like an a previous kof just with better backrounds which is a little harsh seeing as it is a new era for snkp, to allready start the doom mongering after the first attempt is oh so hastey ESPECIALLY seeing how this new ngbc seems to be changing alot of sceptics minds. however we’ll have to wait and see how these games play the proof as they say is in the pudding.
As for ss5 sp yep i’ve played that and to me it’s the finest neo geo game i’ve played possibley ever, the game should have its own thread i just dunno if there will be much discussion though, i’ve noticed quite alot of changes between 5 and 5 sp however this is a rebout thread and not a place to show my affections for such a brillant game
NeoWave was made by Noise Factory (which is in SNKPs building and works for SNKP), but the game was made because Sammy told them to. They had to report to Sammy and everything. The little story i wrote up there is mostly true.
Just looks like an edge-smoothing filter applied to low-res sprites, like in NeoRage and Kawaks.
