It is a anatomical nightmare… It’s acceptable for basic sprites because the hand is no more than 20 pixels…
1.) Dictators hand is in a very uncomfortable(almost impossible) possition. 2.) Again uncomfortable(even useless) position… Put your arm like hers and tell me you could block like that?
3.)Not only is Dictators foot below the shadow line he’s below cammy on the surface. 4.) What is this line suppose to be? A mistake? 5.)Once again he’s below the shadow line.
I didn’t say this was finished product but it’s horrible, considering the person releasing the footage(the person who set the still frames) didn’t understand basic things…

I don’t know the artist personally, but what if one of us did? What if the artist reads this thread? You know?
Anyway, I just think this thread should stay on track because it’s a good one. And I don’t expect people to see eye to eye with me, so that’s okay man. It’s public so I just voice what I feel.
If someone said my work was bad on a professional level it would make me want to improve… But that’s me… Besides it’s not like he can say"I hate this I’m not doing it"

the old sprite acutally has the arm extend futher , the new sprite cuts most of this off expect for the wrist. also looks like they were going for the Alpha Bison, look. Bison was never that big in any of his SF2 artwork.

i think it’s obvious it’s someones troll account. person just joined and first thing they did was insult someone else’ hard work.
on a slightly different note, let’s all try to keep things on topic here. i’ve certainly ran my mouth off so i am partly to blame. i just don’t want this to turn into what many threads on srk eventually become.
i agree with Xenozip. this is one of my favorite threads on srk and it’s usually one of the less negative ones as well. if you don’t like someone else’s work, give constructive criticism instead of resorting to asshole comments.
So bullshit…BlakMind is doing good work on here. I’m the only person on here sticking to the sprites original form as much as possible. Everyone else has been adding their own style to the HD sprites which is much better… That’s part of being an artist good or bad…

First attempt at upping the res on a GG sprite. It took about 4 hours, and there are quite a few errors with the original sprite I couldn’t correct. The belt buckle was the hardest thing to do, so it didn’t come out as expected. Its not completely done, but I kinda feel like moving onto something else for now.
If you can’t say anything useful, keep it to yourself. If you think its bad, tell him why, tell him how he can improve, don’t just troll and insult it.
