Good method to get a tsurugi after a fukiage when not sure of he the side, is negative edge kick buttons and QCB/QCF release buttons, HCF/HCB press same buttons. OS’s the side for you.

It works, but there’s no reason to. Jumping and doing the :qcb: normally works fine. You have to be quick, but it’s not a walking 720 or anything.

Doing a TK like Cammy’s dive kick is a risk, because you can easily miss the input window by the time you reach the minimum height if you don’t hit that :uf: very quickly.

I did a few tests on this and was able to negate corner crossup ultra by just holding down+back. Maybe I’m just doing it wrong. Also it would seem to be character dependent because of height differences, no?

edit: forgot about the two standup frames everybody has after they are knocked down. Is that the point of the crossup? To hit them in those two frames? Because if it is, good lord I need to practice.

Oh it’s possible, but the difference is this. Cammy can do it because her dive kick doesn’t have a height requirement, she can literally do it one pixel off the ground. Makoto, on the other hand, must be at a certain height before it can come out. If you do a qcb then jump, your window before you can hit kick is really small.

TL;DR version: You can do it but it’s unreliable and difficult at best.

just minor stuff. I don’t know if this is already widely known, I was in training mode and realized that you can cross up a crouching person (i had it set to ryu), with j.mk. The thing is to make sure you’re holding down as you attack. If this has already been said, then disregard.

EDIT: actually I see that you don’t even have to be hold down. You can be fairly far, as long as their crouching (which most do anyways), the j.mk should cross up.

i dunno if this one has been mentioned already, but a good and easy wakeup OS against backdashes is cr.lp, to forward+lp+mk, st.mp. (or hit confirm hk for target combo)

if they dash back the f+mk will come out and chase them, if they block or get hit by the cr.lp, the st.lp will come out and then you can continue the string. just mash hk when u see makoto start stepping forward if you want the followup.

Hi VRYU. I tried and I got it to work, but it did not work on everyone (like guile, but it worked on ADON) would you happen to know a list of everyone this crossup does and does not work on? If not, I can contribute by making this list.

Hey everybody. Is there a complied list of ways do a sure fire after a knockdown or f+lk mixup. I couldn’t find anything like that. An example of what I mean is:

Cr. HP, dash, lk, HK. This gives you a cr. hk meaty when they wake up.

Any help is appreciated.
