This setup momochi does after ex ruffian on guy: dash, cl.mp, jump mk is just a safe jump right? I can’t get it to be an unblockable or anything fancy. It hits too deep to be an unblockable imo, so i didn’t spend much time testing it.
Ya I asked about that setup in another thread. From what I was told it is only a safe jump, not an unblockable. It’s still pretty useful seeing as guy’s reversal is 4f startup and the setup is easy to do. But it sucks momochi didn’t bust out any super secret cody tech this evo
Hi! The new Juri-tech that enables her to store a loaded fireball got me thinking, could the same be applied to Cody’s zonk? Does anyone know what I’m talking about?
Why ask in the match up video thread? And I’ve wondered the same thing myself. I imagine the double tapping trick would work but considering you can charge zonk with any punch button, I’m not sure it is necessary. There are situations where it could be useful.

Nice upload. I always use j.hk for a cross up after back throw. Does anyone know if j.hp is better? cause it looked like an unblockable or he’s just making it ambiguous.
He does a slight step forward so it looks like a manually timed unblockable, or just a typical wonky j. HP set-up. The first time he blocked it normal and the second time he blocked it as a cross up, and he got hit both times. Seems unblockable.
after testing the back throw setup, I could not get it to work as an unblockable. He was just making it ambiguous. Also if you try to cross up with j.hp and ryu blocks correctly, it will actually make it whiff. But if you use j.hk it will not whiff even if he stands still or blocks correctly.
I tested it as well. It’s strict timing but you can make it so the training dummy blocks the cross-up j.hp
Love that ambiguous shoto cross up. Used it a few times and I think it has worked every time. Not entirely sure.
While I’m here, what’s the go to OS for a safe jump on Cammy? Ex Bingo? Is there a meterless option?
I always go for crack kick > mk ruff for opt dmg.
