Not really looking for a critique but I just got a capture device and I tested it out with a few replays this week and I felt like sharing it. Hope you enjoy
Took a stab at making a couple of Cody vids as justification for having bought an HD PVR a while back. Not a lot in there that Cody players won’t already know, but it was fun making them
Hello fellow criminals, las week I found out that after a backthrow you can walk a little forward and jump foward mp, and it crosses up!; the only character that I know this works Is dictator and adon; the others idk; btw looks very ambigous and after a j mp you can mash a light punch to make it a true block string unlike jumping toward mk that this situation isn’t; also does 10 dmg more than jumping forward mk
I was able to get that to work on Honda the other day, but I couldn’t get the spacing/timing consistent. I think Cody has the wonkiest cross ups in the game save for j. mk lol.
VS Hakan I can’t stress how important meter management is. If Hakan knocks you down and you don’t have meter, that’s free damage for him with uncrouchable setups since cody doesn’t have a throw invincible move without EX. Hakan is SCARY in that situation.
Nice, i think you can wiff a s.lp for timing (though manually timing it obviously works). It’s the same setup that works against pretty much any character that ex ruffian crosses under (sagat, oni, akuma, seth, rog are the ones i remember).
This forum is so helpfull for me thank you to everyone…
Last CEO was crazy and I really enjoy to see Momochi still playing Cody hard during this event.
Against Ricky, in looser final, he made a setup I had never seen before !
Post a Ex Rufian Kick, he did a whiff HP, whiff LP then j.HP but Ortis blocked it simply (1’45")
So, do you think it’s a miss unblockable, a hardblocking trick or a new safe jump setup ?
