New DDR is on the way.

Is there a more solid date as to when you’ll be getting the BR machine yet?
Also, BB is coming to consoles in like 6 weeks, so there’s that if you can’t get to south center.

Yeah, I think that move is an item move right?
I saw it used to finish off someone in a korean tourney vid a while back, was hilarious.
is it an item move? not sure myself but id use that shit cuz its retarded or im gonnaplay feng and throw people in the air so they land on his head then go for curb stomps
HeavyD- Yo, we will have to kick some Tekken sometime. I’m gonna try to make it up to your pad next week if you are hosting again…do you have DR?
Yeah matt I have DR, get ready for the next battle!
Man I’m so pumped for BR, I await the grossness eagerly.
hahaha wtf item moves
I’ve seen this game played live in the Philippines.
It’s trash. Sorry.
KoF12 AMIRITE?
Don’t like the game, don’t play it. Let the haters hate. <3
All I gotta say is Alisa is the shit! I am playing her when this comes out, I saw some dude beast with her in BC last weekend and I was inspired to pick up a new character now that all my old characters have been fucked with, lol.
BTW, 75cent BR with card support in BC… we need that shit at GW!
EDIT: They got 2 fucking BR machines at CHQ now… too many Korean fobs beasting for me to enjoy playing this game for now…
will there be controller support for BR?
Plz tell Gameworks to hold a tourney for this ish in August. I’ll be back in WA August 4th but have to leave to Vermont for school for 10 months Aug 29th. I played some 6 in Japan last year and I’ve been playing shit-tons in Seoul this year (2-3 days a week average, at least 3 hours of straight play each time with no waiting in lines because there are 20 machines). I’d like the chance to beast once before leaving for school. =)

3 Quick vids on Lee stuff I made recently.
The game is totally baller. There is a way out of everything. If you’re getting smashed by one thing you’re prolly scrubbing out and need to get around it.
That said, with 38 different movesets now, there is a LOT to remember how to step, how to punish, where you are on frames, do you get an optimal punish by low parry, or block and punish? I carry around a notebook with punishes and things that can be punished… I update if I find something wrong, new, or an option select/fuzzy guard/fuzzy duck way to get out of stuff, etc.
There has been significant scaling on juggles and especially low parries. Damage upgrade on moves otherwise, thus, it is not ONLY a juggle fest again… helps that I ply on +1 life.
With all the damn characters and moves, it’s a LOT to digest, but the game is SOOOOOO fun at high levels. I feel there are more counter character matchups than before, too… Bruce vs. Capos (easy juggle from relax), King or Kuma against Hworang (King’s b+1,2 and Kuma’s d/b+1,2 punish JFSR [Just Frame Sky Rocket] on block, lol… same against Kaz’s new f+3).
To me it just feels like there’s more room for growth in Tekken, and room for creativity not seen in 2D since Marvel. With SF I feel like you plateau a lot earlier. Some people like that as they can be competitive sooner, but part of the fun of a fighting game to me is continually learning and getting better. I think the fact that there are almost no 100% safe moves makes this game a win for me. Some are safe on block, but leave you - frames. + on block usually take a damn long time to execute so you can run into a lot of counter hit stuff, when you’re slightly behind on frames you have decisions to make and mind games to play. Like me with Lee… if I’m back on frames by 3… we both jab, I lose… I jabs they do something longer, I win (and take a lot of life… I think Lee gets the most damage of CH jabs, though slightly punishable on block)… So if I think they’ll jab I might ss uppercut. If they thought I would step they used a move that tracked–this would beat my SS but lose to my jabs. Jabs would beat my jabs but lose to my SS… this is just an example to illustrate that there’s a huge mindgame going on and a lot of options… nobody can spam linear moves and jabs that leave them + all day at high level play. Getting scrubbed out just means you have room to grow, and when you get used to ss -> launching jab spammers to punish their shit, it feels SO GOOD. When you turtle or step and punish the shit out of scrubs that just spam launch, it feels SO GOOD (no homo).
People complain that a lot of the vids are launcher spamming and juggles, but good players don’t just spam launchers. If someone is going to predictably spam launchers at me, I can… CH jabs… ss out and launch them myself… block and punish.
Anyway, just sayin’… THIS SHIT IS GOOD. (But no, I would not pay $3 a play… in fact, I pay about $0.22 a game best of 5 with +10% life right now… 40 players at a time on 20 machines, top players ^_^).
curtis i challenge you on august 5th so you have 1 day to get over jet lag. i will play bruce, law, kazuya, heihachi, feng, and steve. prepare for the next battle. i think you have sparked an interest in this game for me. i wont watch any videos until then. enguard sir
I’ll play you Curtis =)
I want to get down on this too. I think I’m really going to try to up my game in BR.
I think we seriously need to capitalize on BR as our chance to show the rest of the West Coast and Midwest what WA can do. Having Curtis come back and share the info / exp that he has with some very serious comp, and possibly even playing the guys Paulee talks about in BC, should give us a boost to catch up to everyone else.
Ngan- You seriously need to be there and play with us, and get EBM to play as well. Dustin told me in so many words that he’s not coming back to play Tekken, and that is a big upset. plus a lot of cats at Preppys that were down with the Tekken Scene back in the 15-20 plus tourny days don’t have any interest in " bringing Sexy Back" ( but they have good reasons too)
Tepid: were going to evo for BR in 2010. We will wreck the house. they will know NW Tekken, and not forget it.
Murakumo’s dedication to serious tekken is in short supply in our scene, and we need to take as much from him as possible
