Oh yeah, about AE Console for HW, seems like it will be harder/expensive to be playing on Xbox 360s. DLC on 360s requires a lot of stupid security while if bought on PS3, it can be shared between 5 activated consoles…
Might not be long at HW for very long today(Saturday), unfortunately I have a slew of things to do for Dinner but I’ll try my best to stay there as long as I can to run some matches.
good showing today guys! all in all i think we had about 8-10 players show today. It was like the old days before MVC3 hit we had 3 stations of SSFIV running strong! I saw a several good matches, and it’s pretty fun when everybody watches one station…i think it actually helps ppl learn as well.
Highlight for me would be managing to score a win against Navi’s ryu with T.Hawk!! whoo-hoo! Francis’ random hurricane kicks were pretty dope too! i managed to dodge playing steve’s ibuki due to having actual work to do will have to match him on wednesday i suspect
i got enough cash to get some costumes for super…gonna wait till end of april when they release the full costume pack (i think it’s april 20 something that it hits) so get ready for Sagat with hair, Guile in military uniform and suited up fei long!!

Good matches today, 2 - 5 against Navi for FT5…Turned it on like a switch once we reached 2 - 1, I’m lacking focus when I played today, I’m surprised Jon didn’t want to spar a bit aside from work lol, you could made your win streak higher today lol! Damn Wun Yan, everything I did to him, he threw right back at me with Rose!!
I still find SSFIV more exciting than MvC3 at the moment but that’s because I haven’t really still given some time into the game yet…
I get the vibe that Aaron sorta gives up today while I was playing against his new El Fuerte, unfortunately only had two against him before i had to go. Work hard on him, Ibuki is tricky but you have to understand, like Akuma, she thrives on knockdowns.

Jon just a suggestion, maybe save the money for the DLC that’s coming in a couple of months. I think that’s more important than costumes, but sagat with hair does have good priority.

you need at least 2 bars of meter and the timing depends on the move you’re cancelling out of. eg. haduken can be cancelled without connecting, but shoryuken has to connect. you pretty much have to FADC immediately after the haduken is thrown or the shoryu connects. hope this helps. If it’s the timing your having trouble with then that just takes practice.
Can i come to the tournament no saturday just to watch?
at the moment tourneys are full, but you can put your name down on the thread and you will be added if ppl confirm that they can’t show up. Also you could show up on the day and hope to get lucky…if your travelling from far i’d recommend on calling the morning of the tourney
yeah…i tried doing it at first without knowing you actually have to hit your opponent when i first started. Also helpful is to just practice the FADC and that’s it…so if your Ryu…you dragon punch, Focus attack, and then dash…don’t even try the U1 or whatever follows, get the dashing part down first
you can probably pop in and look around, but i don’t think we’ll have room for anybody to watch the entire tourney. We will have the live stream up so you can watch most of the action if you have an internet connection.
Anyone who has a 3DS and is coming on Wednesday or Saturday, please bring it with you. I need more Mii heroes in my 3DS to save my Mii from his cage.
