Hey everybody!! Looks like YRSF will be missing it heart this week with Hidey off to vacation land! but we hope to be running full force on wednesday. I’m looking to see if anybody minds bringing some stuff. Here’s what we got on hand at Heroes World
4 Xbox 360s
1 PS3
2 SSFIV for Xbox
1 SSFIV for Ps3
1 MVC3 for Xbox
3 Dual system joysticks
3 xbox only joysticks
1 ps3 only joystick
could use:
1 PS3 (just unit, no cords needed)
1 MVC3 on ps3
2 MVC3 on xbox
If anybody can help out let me know! main priority is mvc3 for xbox…unless we wanna go back to super sf land…which i’m fine with
also be sure to bring your arcade sticks if your coming as we’ve been pretty short the last couple sessions
Wait, so are the consoles with MvC3 there already patched or did you just need people to bring in the game?
Console wise, it’s one or the other for me as well as my load out:
-1 Xbox 360 with MvC3 DLC characters and patched update, MvC and SSFIV games available
-1 PS3 with SSFIV and Arcana Heart 3(DLC games such as MvC2, Battle Fantasia and Pocket Fighters)
-1 HRAP EX-SE with worn LS-32 spring
-1 PS2 to 360 Converter
If I come along with Ben, I could put everything in a single box and arrive at a decent time. Patrick/Padkuma has been MIA recently so dunno what his plan will be…
I don’t mind hauling my PS3 with SSF4 and MVC3.
I don’t have the DLCs for MVC3 yet though because I changed my credit card information. If someone could show me where to change this that would be great.
hey guys! thanks for all the offers…hmmm…not quite sure how to coordinate everything…i’ve got pat bringing in his xbox with mvc3 so that’s one less mvc3 i need…if wun yan, or someone else can bring your xbox copy (it’s not too much to carry so not a big deal if ppl bring extras)
so mostly just looking for someone to bring a PS3 with game if possible…dunno if francis or steve want’s to decide…i guess whoever can show up first would be easiest?! i guess if we happen to have 2 extra ps3s it’s okay cause i can actually get the 2nd one running on the crt
lol it’s all good for me, if Francis has MvC3 patched, he could bring his. I only have SSFIV on my PS3. In the end, it’s easy for my, just find one of those cheap Diamond Select boxes with the handle, put my PS3 with a piece of cardboard and then put my HRAP EX-SE on top and then pack my VLX in my usual bag.
no big deal if we’re down one ps3…hopefully ppl are okay with mostly xboxes. Just remember ppl to not hog a machine…if it gets to be a big crowd we’ll just set up some brackets or swiss style pairing to keep the line moving

thanks to everyone that came out today! we had about 20 players running on 7 stations.
many thanks and appreciation to those that brought in systems (francis and steve) and all of you that brought fight sticks and such.
Congrats to Quan for taking the MVC3 crown! I’ll see if we can keep running mini tourneys until we get another battle season league going. I suspect splitting the tourney into small pods will make it go a little faster with less wait times between matches…perhaps a “A” tourney and a “B” tourney with high skilled players pooled in A and people working their way up in pool B…top finishers in B then graduate to A next time, and first eliminated in A get bumped to pool B
also thinking of hosting some casuals on Saturday (March 9th) if anybody is free. probably something like 1pm to 6pm for $5 entry. if we get a few ppl we can run another mini tourney and i’ll put up some Marvel Hardcover comics for prize. post up if your free. Thinking of running mostly Super since MVC3 get’s so much action on wednesdays…“Super Saturdays” perhaps? but i’m open to whatever
Just got back now!
During the 4 hour ride with Matt and Ben has given me a much bigger insight on SSFIV. I’m determined to try to beat Navi next week if the opportunity arises, knocked me into losers and had to climb my way back into finals and there wasn’t enough time for us to start the finals in the mini mini SSFIV tourney thingy.
yeah, looks like Super Saturdays is on!! Wun is confirmed, so we’ve got at least one heavy hitter. I’ll have at least 3 stations set up (2 xbox and 1ps3), all with Super SSFIV! i’ll have a copy of MVC3 on standby just incase. Gonna grab a small points card with the money from last weeks extra casuals session and see what costumes i can buy.
also just for everybodys info, i’ve no room on friday for casuals due to D&D and heroclix events at the shop, so make sure you try to come saturday if you can!
coolasice: Did Hidey ask you to run a speedtest.net on the HW internet? I need to know how much bandwidth you guys have there for the fundraiser stream.
