How many characters are in MK9? Will they go ape**** like SSFIV and have all the previous characters? I don’t even know the story, apparently major characters died and got revived lol!
sounds like a plan…dunno if your tourney software can do the swiss style paring like the program i had did…it would be an idea way to track and keep organized. also we could copy the major wednesday night fights set up of stations with different level players. the only problem i see is that we have so many mixed games now and so many ppl it might be troublesome to set it up. perhaps if we designate a specific time for league games to take place…either early when casuals starts or later to cap off a casuals session…i think some players like the freedom of just playing whoever and whatever but we’ll see how it goes

haha…characters die every round sometimes…dunno how the story will factor in…i assume this will be a new beginning for all characters. i’d be cool if you could do a team battle…and if a character get’s finished…then he’s off your team for rest of the tournament or something

@CoolasIce: I can see your point regarding some folks preferring to just play casuals as casuals. I just want the League to be an easy way for peeps to work on levelling up (drinking a Dragon Punch isn’t as magical as one might think). It shouldn’t be too difficult to arrange League matches to run concurrently but I do like your idea of designating specific times during the evening to run League matches.
Hey Fadi, I’m not sure if I’ll have space at the moment as it looks like some people will meet at HW and then we’ll all converge at my place. Ask Wun Yan if he has space in his car to get you from HW to my house. I should be good to take u from Aurora to Barrie.

The beauty of the League is that you don’t need to be there each week, rankings and win/loss are stack ranked and weighted. I don’t know if I want to include online play as there’s a disparaging difference in execution precision when playing online. It may not be a fair representation of each players “game”.
I’ll be there almost every week, league or not, like Pat, I’ll will be playing anyway so I guess I’m in?

we could set up a post either on the forums, or actually on the wall somewhere in the game room of who should play who and get tally results that way. I’m just saying it’s kinda hard to start gathering ppl once casuals has gotten rolling…hard to get ppl to turn away from the monitors. We could adapt a system where each player has a “fight card” and as long as they play someone else in the league they just grab their fight card and record the results…then the cards can be posted in order of who has most points…the downside is that people who are there more often will usually have more points but it’d be fun to just track your info…i’ve run something similar for the miniature gaming

Great idea with the Fight cards Jon, me likey! I’ll most likely post results in the YRSF thread if not a standalone, just waiting on word back. Trying not to clutter up this one 2 much.

I forgot to add, if I’m in, then Patrick/Padkuma is in as well(if this is related to SSFIV), I think I got him a bit interested in learning MvC3 but no solid word since he hasn’t played it yet.

lol well actually it wasn’t as bad as I mentioned, most of the time, X-23 and Morrigan were the two characters that were my strongest characters(least played) whereas I kept whiffing with Felicia which was my “supposed” to be my main was the weakest. Did not ever finish the air combo with her then df + m to hyper combo with her while I got Morrigan’s lvl 3 from a shadow blade in air(forgot that I could use her missile spam after that or even finish the air combo with shadow servant hyper combo) and X-23’s ankle slash to hyper combo.
