Hey crazy turn out tonight. it was really packed! And thanks for having us, it was fun.

There is no **magic bullet **in playing good, just alot of practice. But with this game I would try to work on a few specific things to make my characters better.

1. figure out how your char moves. The best way to tell if you can master your characters movement is by staying in the air the longest time. Modok moves like ass but I still manage.

2. figure out DHCs with your characters that leads to instant kills.

3. figure out xfactor combos or set ups that are instant kills.

That is pretty much it to marvel. The rest is just scumming it out XD

Unfortunately with Marvel dominating tonight we didn’t really get a tourny going for the fifth spot on Team HW.

If Danny is up for it I think it would be great if he can fill in for Fadi’s absence. If not, I will be in attendance for the Barrie Tourny and can hold down a spot unless there are any major objections to having Sim on the team.

I say Jon and Pwong MM next week!

in my defense, all it took was 2 losses right? i lost to dark dragon and then to aiden’s lame keep away team. AND i drop combos like a champ.

yo jack or matt, im getting the hang of that magneto corner combo, you just have to delay one of the fierce’s to ensure you land before your opponent, but once i land that last standing fierce, i can’t get the light hyper grav to connect. EITHER way, back to the training room!

and i can bring in an extra monitor if needed, but i really didnt expect that many ppl! lol

Yup every Wednesday, there are mild Friday casuals as well, I think it’s mainly because it’s Magic in the back room. Shame I had something to attend to, missed out on a lot of stuff tonight.

York Region Street Fighters shirts came out better than I thought. Hidey wasn’t lying when he said they were awesome. Shame there wasn’t any red for “York Region Street Fighters” as I originally saw it.

light hyper grav input needs to be crispy fast.

HW MvC3 & SSFIV Spring 2011 League Battle

Been wanting to do something like this for a while. Looking to see who is interested.

Basically an attempt to implement a structure around Wednesday Casuals in the form of an on-going League.

In a nutshell:

-Each week you play casuals against other League competitors in Best 2 out of 3 match sets.
-Match outcomes will be tabulated in the following format:
Win = 2 pts
Draw = 1 pt (unlikely yet possible)
Shutout = 1 Bonus pt
OCV = 1 Bonus pt

i.e. Player A takes a set 2-0 and gets 5 pts for that set (Win x 2 @ 2 pts + 1 bonus pt for shutout)

The idea behind the concept is to enable you as a player, to see (quantitatively) how you stack up with the competition, which players give you the most trouble, and how you are progressing week over week. The League will run for a pre-set period of time, most likely 4 to 6 weeks.

If you choose to participate there is no additional cost. I will look after the organization and tabulating all the data.

I will be able to publish win/loss %, stack ranking, etc, etc.

At the conclusion of the League, the Top Three Players will be awarded prizes. We can also look into specific weekly “Bonus Point” challenges, e.g. winning a set without using XFC, etc. MM’s and/or Side-bets are encouraged but not endorsed.

I’d really appreciate your feedback and please post-up right away if you’d like to participate so I can have the spreadsheets prepared in time for next week!

By no means is participation in the League mandatory, League matches can be run concurrently with other regular casuals, remaining transparent to those not competing.
