I think that’s a typo for the VH238H…
I think that’s actually a VH236H - which is the EVO standard.
VH238H is appearently an LED backlit version of the the VH236H. Assuming ASUS LED backlitting does not suck and the VH238H does not lag, this could be a considerable alternative to VH236H.
Without someone willing to blind purchase the VH238H, I think I am gonig to upgrade to have to ugrade to VW266H.

Hey guys! light casuals are on for today…only 2 stations (one mvc3 and one ssfiv both on xbox), i have a possible 3rd station that can go up if needed. $5 entry fee at the door…all proceeds of todays session will go to the monitor fund!
in mission mode with every character. furthest i can get with anyone is lvl 7 LOL
1)The problem is the stick does not respond when I move it up and right. When the stick is in the up and right position the character just jumps up instead of diagonally forward.

I’m not entirely sure, but I haven’t used the stick since December when my bro visited me from Japan for the holidays.
I didn’t receive a PM from you but I did take a look at your instructions in the thread I made. I hooked it up to the computer but my computer didn’t read any inputs whatsoever but that’s because I didn’t load up the PS3 drivers so i will try that again. I’m not tech savy with fight sticks so to be honest I didn’t understand what parts of the stick you were talking about. I will however open it up sometime this week as it is reading week and I have a break from exams and midterms but I’m hesitant as doing so voids your warranty right?

Been grinding MvC3 for a bit and here is my break down.
Anyone who hates on SSF4 by saying ‘can’t wait till marvel’ needs to shut the hell up now. The game is solid don’t get me wrong, but I dare anyone to tell me SSF4 is more ‘noob’ friendly than MvC3. X factor is the worst thing ever allowed in a fighting game, period. Characters are great(needs more though). Waaaay to easy to do one hit combos, and mark my words every major tournament player will have a sentinel on their team.
Yeah i guess just drop by. I’ll have some equipment ready for testing then

i feel ya man! the more and more i play MVC3 the more i think it’s not the game for me. I still say it’s early to really judge the game because people are still finding stuff out…but sentinel seems way busted. again not saying it’s a bad game just it’s not the game for me. If there was some kinda one on one mode perhaps i’d dig it more? I’ve got really high hopes on mk9 now…but we’ll see, that can go either way.
So who is up for a SSFIV mini tourney on wednesday? and i can pair it up with a MVC3 RANDOM SELECT tourney? i think that’d be fun

PadFadi and I were playing SSFIV tonight on XBL(I think you guys know the outcome…), he was wondering if there is gonna be a mini tourney this week and I thought since MvC3 was so hot, was thinking there would be one for that.
I dunno, I’m guessing I’m using the characters I like but haven’t really played online. That and the characters I use should have a way to get in on projectile heavy characters. Will all this Sentinel rage make Capcom wake up and “fix” him? How do I do mission modes past level 8?
I like the SFIV discussion/comparison on Cross Counter, MvC3 now is basically Vanilla and then thing were improving in Super and made better in AE…except for being ass backwards and adding Yun and Yang.
As for MK9, I’m having some second thoughts on the weapons system. I believe ever since the introduction of that, I really hated the series(post MK3).

yeah…recent crosscounter episodes with Marn, and what Marn says are my feelings on the game exactly right now. I’m getting way more hype for MK9 and Tekken Tag 2 right now. I’m hoping they are both gonna be good. Mk9 scares me only cause they aren’t really letting ppl see the actual game and try it…like with MVC3 they let top players and stuff try the game out…hopefully they are doing the same with mk9 but behind closed doors or something…it’s already announced as a EVO 2011 game so it’s gotta have something going on behind the scenes.
also i’m hoping that AE will see another patch before it hits consoles if yun and yang are as broken as ppl say. I will say i’ve tried Yang and he seems pretty fun.
we could do a $2-$5 buy in, with the pot going to the winner…or we could do some wacky prizes again and money can go towards the monitor fund
also i got a look at the MVC3 Bradygames strat guide…and it’s really nice! It’s got like everything in there…damage stats, frame data including breakdowns (active, invincible, recovery, etc). General character strats, and even assist breakdowns. i wish they made one like that for SSFIV! if anyone is interested in a copy let me know as i’m trying to grab a few copies for the shop to sell.
