I was recommended to come here by another member of this board. If I was to bring in my TE stick that is currently experiencing problems, would anyone know how to diagnose and fix it and would it cost me anything?

What is the problem?
Can you replicate it if it’s intermittent?
Did you find any workarounds for the problem if you said “yes” to #2.
What do you think happened?

Thanks to everybody that came out yesterday! Very special thanks to Hidey for organizing and fronting the money for a possible Heroes World EVO monitor…damn that thing was soooo clear!! If anyone else would like to donate to the EVO monitor fund please let me or hidey know. We’ll probably organize a tourney soon that will have half the funds going to monitor fund and other half going to winner, so stay tuned!!

Jon, the EVO monitors (Asus VH236H) are ~$185 after tax + Ontario electronics tax (!?.. wtf. I paid $12.25 tax for my VH242H…) and rebate…

here’s a mock-up of one we did for Magic tourneys. It turned out to look pretty good in person, can be done in white or black…but they cost about $25 each

I can bring my evo monitor if you guys need me to. Also chowwun those ontario fees are OES stewardship fees. They go to help recycle electronics. All new electronics like monitors, tvs, projectors are being hit with them now. The plus side is with those fees, you can drop off your old electronics for free in OES certified areas for disposal and recycling.

Yeah, I know that they’re used to recycle the electronics, but I didn’t expect that the tax would be that much lol.

It’d be a crock if you had to pay to recycle AND buy haha…

Double dipping reminds me of the time I went to Esso gassing up and I think I saw something like $0.14/L goes to Ontario government and $0.11/L goes to the Canadian government or something lol…

edit: wait a sec, i thought the evo monitors were the ones with 2ms response rather than 5ms response. Not that that matters much anyways
