Jon from Heroes World here. Trying to organize a nifty Group Buy from Art’s Hobbies who specalize in Plexi-Covers for multiple brands of fight sticks! Specifically we’re looking at tops for your Madcatz TE or TE-S or possibly you have a Hori stick. Products they make can be found on their website located here:

The reason for the group buy is that the company (Art) is located in the USA so shipping to Canada is quite expensive ($20 for a single plexi). Now there is really nothing Art can do about this as the product is quite large and requires proper shipping…so they have offered the option of shipping out several products in a flat rate box. We’re looking at $40 for a box potentially containing 15-20 plexis! So depending on how many orders we can round up we can all save a bundle on shipping! Ideally we want at least 10 people so it’ll only be around $4 shipping per person.
Here’s how it works:
-go to the website and choose what you’d like
-add up all the prices of the stuff you want
-add 25% to the total you come up with (this 25% goes to cover shipping, currency conversion, taxes & import fees)
-come in to Heroes World and pay for your order (all orders must be paid in cash)
-if you also requested custom artwork you will have to either submit it to ART or give it to Heroes World for submission
-if the funds you paid are over the actual price of Heroes world obtaining the products you will be refunded the difference when you come pick up your plexi, if there are additional costs you will be responsible for paying them to get your plexi
The above is just a idea of where we’re trying to do here. The 25% additonal cost i’m assuming will cover most of our shipping costs and any other fees incurred with shipping from the states. I will make all paper work avalaible to those participating so they can see what the charages were. Hey we might get lucky and avoid taxes and import fees, you never know.
My apologies for taking so long to put this together but it’s been pretty nuts here. But it’s on track now. The Store will be ordering a few additonal plexis for those of you that need to see the product before you purchase (these plexis might have a slightly higher price than those of you that purchase in the group buy). I will be posting the list of those participating in the following post, and will also update the status of group buy whenever i can.

January 20-28 - Generate list of those interested in Group buy
January 29-31 - Those interested must confirm if they are in
February 1-6 - Those confirmed must come in to Heroes world and Pay for their order
February 7 - Order will be placed**
This is only approximate, if we don’t have enough interest by end of january obviously we have to push back…or consider paying more for shipping. Also if we get tons of interest and people are ready to go we’ll accelerate the schedule as deemed approprate.
