Heroes And Heralds War Room: I Dunno Week

Specifically, though I haven’t tested everything yet. It seems like most moves that had fixed hitstun had that taken away for HnH mode. Dunno why.

Don’t worry, we’ll all become “faces” next week when we change to Heroes as per the agreement in the thread, so you won’t have to worry about that until the next week. =P

Mephisto as primary gives you 3 extra hc bars starting you off with four but with multiple man you always start of with five bars he gives you a random number from 1 to 3 i believe. So your always guaranteed that extra stock for fff like capcom stated i believe he shuts down dark phoenix rises since you cant activate hypers. Havent try’d it myself might be better of going with fei-lou the breath of fire guy you get 2 xfactor activations.

Tried this and I didn’t like it. Coming in you should be able to DP if you get hit, but once Dark Phoenix activates, you’ve got to build meter for the next Phoenix + you lose XFactor due to your hyper going less than 3. If your first Dark Phoenix gets killed before 5 meters, having regular Phoenix come in hurts especially considering her low vitality.

Lol, the worst I did was having Luke Cage as primary and less than 2 supers so autoguard activates. I was winning 3 characters to 1 so I just put the controller down and let time run out.

I tested out that team/deck (minus multiple man) in offline and Phoenix DOES turn into Dark Phoenix. However, you still lose 5 bars, and with FFF only having XFactor when at 3 bars or more, DP is going to come in with NO XFACTOR unless you can quickly get to 3 meters.

It’s worse/better? than that. HSD changes depending on which cards you use:(

In regards to HSD changes in H&H mode, Chris’s H Combination Punch no longer combos. Fucking weird.

I’m just gonna say this right now…LOVE the Sabretooth Card! Deadpool’s basically healing against anything thrown his way.

I got that in my Deck along with The Mandarin which, when used with Frank West, can turn a simple combo into a THC into a Snapshop in Chainsaw Mayhem, Baby!

Still trying to find a third card. Probably something that’ll sap the HC from my opponent so I don’t have to see DARK PHOENIX RISES all the damn time. I swear, it’s like Vanilla all over again in H&H…only broken in a good way.

I’mma go ahead and say that H&H is the best thing that’s happened to this game. Thanks to this mode I’ve learned the ins and outs of like 10 characters, and my execution and technical ability is much better than it was before. I’m really thrilled with how this is going :smiley:

I think its great too its a fun reason to keep playing the game. Any time spent in game is time spent leveling up even if the parameters arent the same as regular play.

Going to steal Jon’s 3 Dark Phoenix setup. Heres one I been using:

PRI - Mephisto
SEC - Mephisto
SEC - Grandmaster
EFFECT - Round start 5 meters + HP regain on ground + HC meter regain

This is godlike for Phoenix/Keepaway

Anyone have a setup that negates chip damage while giving you constant meter? I want to make Phoenix godlike.

I got a stupid one that’s specific to the team as well as the card so here goes:

PRIM: Fou-Lu
SEC: Miles Edge Worth
SEC: Miles Edge Worth
Effect: 3 X factors. Gain 5 Meters when you X factor.

Team: Zero / Hsien Ko / Strider.

Round Start: Rekkoha > X Factor > Sougenmou > DHC to Hsien Ko armor > DHC to Strider Oroboros.

You now have strider in X factor with ororobos backed by Hsien Ko’s armored assist and Zero’s Double Hadangekis and you have 2 more X factors and 10 meters to spend. If strider dies just use Hsien Ko to setup Zero’s Sougenmou unblockables.


Also have:

PRIM: Saber Tooth
SECONDARY: Mephisto
SECONDARY: Fin Fang Foom
Effect: Start the round with infinite x factor, increased speed, and constant healing. If you somehow get hit, just stand there for a few seconds and you get all your health back from sabertooth and the x factor.

TEAM: Deadpool Corps - Deadpool/Frank/Taskmaster

EFFECT: You heard of The Real DOOM, I play with The Real 'POOL with this deck. Victor’s card basically gives Wade his healing factor back (with Frank & Tasky benefitting) and makes him even faster. Just a couple of dashes can help him avoid Doom’s Missiles. Lilith is for Phoenix Teams, as just one Hyper Combo takes away that Level 5 Gauge and makes her die like normal mutants. It also helps against those who have meter building cards. Mandarin is for Frank, since it gives him 3 meters to start a match. A simple combo into THC into a Snapshot puts Frank at Lvl. 4…and makes you deal with chip-damage chainsaws.

I don’t have too many cards right now so I don’t have my ideal setup, but what I’m running right now is:

PRI: Scarlet Witch
SEC: Fou-lu
SEC: Ryu

EFFECT: X-Factor burst with an extra X-Factor use, as well as increased attack power during X-Factor. Basically, I pick Wesker and block an attack and then burst and kill their character. Then I get a mixup on their second character and kill them, and save the second burst for their anchor.
