I’d take Heralds any day. No more worrying about color synergy, everything is silver!

Any team will look good together because they all look the same.

I was noticing that I have trouble seeing what the Herald characters are doing because they’re all monochrome, so advantage Heralds I guess. I mean can you imagine a silver Maya standing in front of a silver Wright while a silver Haggar goes twirl twirl twirl? Your opponent will go blind.

And not to mention that having good team color synergy makes you look pro.

I think that this will all depend on Online being Solid (enough) to play on cause If Online still isn’t good enough then playing with the cards online won’t be fun either… I AM PRAYING tho.

Just because a character is a card doesnt mean that they won’t be playable right?

Edit: Nvm Misread. But who knows, I still believe X will be DLC for example, 99.99% probably won’t be playable tho. Also online probably won’t be any better than MVC3 unfortunately, its a huge thing and theyve never even mentioned it again or hyped it up. Just some new modes & Matchmaking a little better coded.

That is all.

The parry card is Thanos’ and so far he is the only confirmed “S class” Marvel card (the two currently confirmed “S class” Capcom characters are Astaroth and Captain Commando).
This rank implies will probably be considered as one of the most valuable cards in the game so unfortunately this may mean that getting him and the other S ranked characters may be extremely difficult. :frowning:

Iceman card is confirmed to give your team projectile invincibility.

Eventhubs dropped some images, we can make some educated guesses from the icons there.

Thanos has the Parry icon with “MAX” underneath it - that probably means unlimited parrying. Other characters (like the Destroyer) have the Parry icon with “1” - meaning they can probably parry one attack.

Red Skull has what looks like a poison bottle - probably similar to Hawkeye’s poison arrow attack. Would be awesome if it just added poison to all your normals, but that might be a little OP.

The drill icon seems to mean “Projectiles,” as Iceman has it in a shield. Cyclops has it in a sunburst shape, which probably means attack strength increase. We can use that to infer other attack strength upgrades, like Sasquatch (throws) and BoF Ryu (X Factor damage).

There is one icon that I am still curious about - the sawblade shape as seen on Devilot, Lilith and a few others.

ETA: Servbot has the “Assist OK” icon. Might mean no cooldown between assist calls.

From what I read at EventHubs…

Bobby Drake (Iceman) brings Projectile Invincibility (just imagine Hulk or Deadpool with THAT!)
Cyclops brings Jump Increase (I don’t really know what that means. Triple Air-Jump? Higher Arc?)
Jamie Madrox (Multiple Man) brings Team of one (Deadpool Corps is a GO!)
Sabertooth brings Speed Boost (Yeah, like we don’t know who’s getting THAT card.)

H&H Mode is starting to look better & better. The sheer chaos you can cause with a few cards is simply marvelous…

Iron man has is double jump back then.

Perhaps that saw-blade shape has something to do with increased chip damage?

I want to power up my assists. Imagine an assist with super armor that dizzies the opponent when it hits them. Pair that with something like with something to help your character that you are using on screen and you could be a deadly son of a gun.

I understand that balance doesn’t really matter in Heroes in Heralds… But I was thinking. Does it seem that the “cancel specials into specials” card is infinite? Or X amount of times during a combo? Because that would give a lot of characters infinities. In fact, more characters than not would gain an infinite from being able to cancel specials into specials. Still no love for Hsien-Ko :frowning:

Most people haven’t seemed to notice yet, but a card’s effects change depending on the position. As far as I can tell, there’s only really two positions, a lead card (has a star on it, and the characters’ face shows up on screen in the actual fight) and the uh…non-lead cards, which don’t have a star and don’t get their faces shown. If you look closely at the trailer and the other photos released, the characters June, Juggernaut, and Destroyer show up multiple times and in these different positions, and when the star is there they change effects. I’d assume the star effects are in fact the better ones. :V
