Here it is the most favorite character, for some people, of all time Toro! Toro plays a unique style of gameplay he can change to 3 different forms which allow him to do special unique attacks. His Justice form based on Tekken game series while his ninja form based on Mortal Kombat and Oni form from Street Fighter. Toro’s range lies in short to mid range where he could juggle in short range with all of his form and mid range with Ninja and Oni form.

I was giving some thought on making a Toro thread, but you’ve done a fine job with this thread.
I’m very happy they made Toro a viable character in PS All Stars, rather than just a joke character like he was in SFxT. I’ve been playing around with him for some time now, it is very interesting on how using the right form at the right time can be the difference maker between winning and losing.
Also, I agree with Level 2 being his best super, the star has such a stupidly awesome hitbox.

Fiery Mochi has some interesting properties
-This move has 3 levels of charge (as far as I can tell):
-Uncharged gives you a small green ball
-Somewhat charged gives you a brown/cream colored medium sized ball. The somewhat charged brown medium sized ball causes good hitstun and can be used to combo into level 1 if done from low in the air.
-Fully charged gives you a large white ball. Both the Fiery Mochi and Air version do a guard break when fully charged! If done low in the air and is blocked, it can be combo’ed into level 1 (similar to how brown medium charge can be on hit). However when unblocked, it ejects the opponent.

Another strange property I noticed with Toro is that his Level 1 Super’s direction cannot be controlled. If you are facing right and you press Left +R2, you will do a level 1 Super towards the right. Same vise versa…you will always do a super in the direction that you are facing, not the direction that you press with R2 (unlike many other level 1’s).

you can cancel his ground fiery mochi into jump after you have charged it a bit. You can also cancel oni spin into either air fiery mochi or oni dive kick.
Speaking of dive kicks, here’s his dive kick loop and other combos:

At the moment, I think Oni is his best stance because of the mobility and easy AP/Super combo confirms he can get off the loop. Torobi is useful for keepaway/zoning and some short reliable combos. Justice is looking kind of useless right now; really short range, no air mobility, harder confirms, stage dependent confirms and no projectiles.

I’d have to agree. Before you posted the dive kick loop, I’d use Oni to get in and Justice to combo from then on, but now it’s just impractical when Oni has easier, better options. I still prefer Justice to Torobi, but Torobi’s air scorpion’s 36 AP is pretty useful as a combo ender…

It’s because Kuro is mean, unfortunately.

So I gotta know before I pick up Toro: are any of his intros/outros/taunts reminiscent of old school henshin sequences with posing and things? This 100% decides whether I try to character or not

Might as well add to the thread since it’s been dead for 3 weeks now.
The closest to what you’re talking about is his Rank 75 intro. He puts his hands to his head, focuses himself, then jumps and poses when he lands. Probably not related but the closest it gets. Most of Toro’s animations are more based around him being cute if anything.

I can’t help but think that Toro gaining ~5ap per stance change in combos would be fun… not that he’s in need of buffs.

Just when I think Toro has no more tricks up his sleeve. There is some great stuff in that video, a lot of it is practical too. Thank you ever so much for your videos, not just this one but all your Toro videos. I’d be lost without them.
