-RHK is like +6 on block, so airdashing after it is a very good idea, your j.:s: will stuff a lot of things. Did you guys know that :h:-Groovy Upper is +20 on block? I never use that move though.

thats hilarious, im going to implement that in my block strings now.

Advanced MvC3 delayed hyper combo part 1 by Desk : News : EventHubs.com
its hard to see the numbers but it seems that the combo desk is doing is doing about 640k, and thats with out an jump in and with two RHKs instead of RHK - airdash - airjoe at the end.
is the first hit or second hit of the H groovy upper +20 on block ???
if its the second one it doesnt matter because the opponent can just push block the first hit
on hit you can combo a Medium or High red hot kick, it gives you a lot of time to combo many normal and special moves
Let’s not forget that they can punish the first uppercut before the second one comes out. Was playing earlier today and used that move, my friend blocked the first uppercut with wesker and did abc launch before the second one came out. -_-
My guess the best way to use H groovy is after your opponent expects as M groovy, so not very often, unless the opponent is in slow state.
Need help from other VJoe mains…
So far my team is Jill and Joe second i have tron 3rd for now but any other suggestions for a 3rd? I already have Jill for the DHC trick into Joe.
Tron is always a good call.
Yup, I rock Joe Deadpool Tron, Great assists to complete Joe (Quick Work for Unblockables/Katana-rama for OTG and of course Gustaff)
i know most of us play joe on point. but in the rare occasion that we have to play joe last, and have to drop x factor on him, i think i have an idea for a really easy kill combo that we dont have to have any timing for. which would make playing him in x factor way more appealing.
I’ve been looking around the Joe forum for a while and couldn’t find what I was looking for, so I just have a quick noob question:
is his health 880,000 or 950,000?
Please, do share. =D
880,000
Regarding iad voomerangs, does anyone have any particular tricks on how they do them, or advice to get them thrown as fast as possible? I’m having difficulty with them, so advice is welcome.
How steep do you guys think the learning curve for Joe is? I’d like to learn some mixup heavy character so I can have some variety in my playstyle and Joe seems much more interesting than the current top tier characters. I’m just kinda intimidated because I haven’t played fighting games very long and people tell me he’s really hard to use effectively.
i dont really have any tricks for them but all it is is Super jumping > airdash>Light voomerang, once joe lands on the floor, just do another voomerang. Took me a like a few days to get it down in training mode, so all i can say is practice makes perfect.
random stuff… cr. M whiff on a crouching sentinel
and ima work on some slow combos if i ever get into that situation.
I personally don’t super jump. I’ll jump > airdash > L voomerang. The thing here is when I do the quarter circle motion for the voomerang I continue the motion to up-forward. That way when I land Joe will jump immediately. At that point its all about timing when I airdash.
He’s not really a hard character to use compared to a character like viper. What really helps him is the assist you use. A good assist like ironman’s unibeam combined with his amazing voomerang spam makes him pretty retarded if you ask me.
for your voomerang spam technique, are you saying that once you land you throw a grounded voomerang or you’re super jumping again?
once i do an IAD vormerang, i do w/e i feel like it, sometimes i throw another one on the ground or sj> IAD>spam more voomerangs again.
Hey folks, this might be a little bit of a long post, but I need your help!
First off, to all the folks hating on that whiff hungry crouching I had the same problem so I stopped using it all together, I start my BnB either with airdash :s: or dash :f:
or dash :d: :h: all covered by an assist of course. Starting my BnB with :d: :h: does more damage anyway.
NOW. Here is the problem I am having, it is driving me INSANE.
I use the FlashMetroid BnB, (which is the most damaging I’ve seen) which is :
:d: :h: :dp: :h: :u: :h: :qcb:
Dash Cancel :h: :qcb:
:qcb: :h: Land :s: SJ Cancel
:h: :u:
:h: :u:
:h: :qcb:
:qcb:
:qcf: :2p:
Of course the beginning and the end alternate sometimes depending on where on the screen the enemy is.
THE PROBLEM
I have no problem landing this while on the P1 side, but when I am on the P2 side, the freaking Dash cancel after that first Red Hot Kick REFUSES to work. It is driving me insane I do not understand why the dash command does not make Joe dash. Has anyone else using this BnB encountered this problem? Help!
P.S. They really need to re-activate the shoryuken forums on tap-a-talk, I used to check this place all the time from my phone
Its not a dash cancel. You’re able to dash because Joe has actually recovered from the move. Simply put, you’re dashing too soon.
I was going to ask the same question as PKMaximo, so sweet, my question is already answered. Trying to learn that FlashM BnB but that AD>Air H just doesn’t want to hit for some reason…
On a side note, is it just me, or does Voomerang spam pretty much wreck Wesker?
