Anyone with an OTG assist pairs well with Joe.
I’m going with an otg assist and a projectile assist.
At least, in the first couple of weeks…
Since we’re on the topic, could you guys list some otg assists in the game that we know of? I’d appreciate it. 
Felicia, Wesker, X-23 all have one.
I think thor has one as well.
Arthur has one as well, the fire bottle. She-hulk’s slide too.
Dante and Deadpool have OTG assists as well.
Yea someone should probably make an assist selection thread when the game drops. Somewhere where all the assists are categorized and such so someone looking for a particular kind of assist can just scroll through. Or the first post of the team building thread should add that.

I’m very interested in hearing that Arthur has an OTG assist. I’ve been looking forward to him as well, and hearing that perhaps him and Joe might have synergy is definitely exciting to me. Though, on further thought, I’m not sure about what I’ve heard about Arthur’s meter building. He can throw weapons all day and build very little meter. It seems he won’t be very strong in fueling Joe’s meter. I’ll have to see when the game comes out.
Iron Man also I believe.
Look around 2:15 in [media=youtube]2E1NJVR3x20"[/media] and you’ll see Viper actually punch back Joe’s bomb assist. This one isn’t looking too useful. Might be good for interrupting combos though.
Yea I was worried about this, joe was notorious in tvc for having mediocre assists and unless his uppercut turns out useful it looks like the trend will continue in this game.

Im not new to the capcom vs games but I am new to the competitive scene. I have been reading up on some of the basics and would you guys say joe is more of a point character or a battery.
I’m so happy Joe has 950,000 HP! That is slightly above average and puts him with the same health as Iron Man and Wolverine. He doesn’t bleed as badly as we thought.
lol you just go from thread to thread commenting on that character hp don’t you?
I think joe would be more of a point character, though with reports of his dp actually being good in this I can see him being a good assist character as well.
