I’m new to fighting games and so far i’m able to link regular moves into specials, but when I try to link regulars into S or U I just can’t. I don’t know if it’s because I hurt my wrist awhile back and had surgery on it or what. It is significantly slower than my other wrist. Any tips? I’m currently playing fuerte some i’m doing 2x qcf motions.
I don’t play fuerte but i can tell you that you can’t link regular moves into his ultras because they’re both throws. Throws don’t combo. If you can I’ve never seen any Fuerte do it so I guess it’d be news to me.
Ok, thank you. So can you explain why sometimes when I try to utlra with him I’m imputing two qcf motions but I his DP move comes out instead?
You’re probably not doing them correctly. You need to end on forward, if you end with downforward it’s the shortcut for the DP move. Also, if you try qcfx2 when you’re walking forward you’ll probably also get a dp because of how the game stores inputs, so don’t try to Ultra when you’re doing that.
I think you might be able to get his super after a regular move, because that’s not a throw, but you need to know the move you’re hitting with can actually cancel into super. Also, like you said, you might be doing it too slowly because that type of cancel is pretty quick.

are you using a control pad or a joystick?
Yeah, any time you don’t get the full forward in at the end, you get DP. Thus, make your wrist travel further than you think you need to go. If you think you’re stopping on forward, go until you think you’re landing on up forward. Sometimes, to start, it takes tricking your mind into doing more than you think you need to until it becomes muscle memory.
Thank you for the advice, dude! Stopping where it feels like i’m at Up forward and i’m starting to be able to pull them off easier now.
Don’t rush it, also helps. But you’ll find that easier after you get confident with what you do just before, and the execution that comes with it.
