Hi everyone !
I am building a control with a padhack (hori mini) for PS4 DJ max Respect. I have finished all the basic wiring and everything working including both analog sticks
I could just leave the analogs and play correctly to emulate the turntables, but I would like to have the turntables, even if they were with limited functionality. (In DJ MAX it is enough to move the analogs in any fixed direction, it is not even necessary to move them in a circle)
I have seen several tutorials to make the turntables but always using PCBs like Arduinos or Arcin, never with a video game console padhack.
I have directly tried to use encoders like the ones used in the tutorials (rotary and photoelectric) https://preview.redd.it/4nrzxvwivxq41.jpg?width=527&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=588bb901f30bfdc77ef51570fd4072022a683e45 and connect it directly to Hori PCB to Rx/y or Lx/y, but in both cases it immediately sends a pulse closing the circuit, (without even rotating them)
I absolutely need an intermediate pcb ??
Any ideas how I can solve this in a simple way ??
Any more “mechanical / physical” method ??
As I mentioned, it would suffice for each turntable to emulate only one direction of the analog joystick.
sorry for the long story. thanks !!! =)
