Maybe I’m just an old guy that doesn’t get it, but can someone please explain the death of proper forums to me? I do get that something like discord offers more of a real-time structure, but isn’t there some value in a repository of information, or communicating in this manner? I hate the disposable nature of Twitter, IG and Snapchat.

They have a twitter poll if you want to give them feedback, I just think it is annoying to not put this on the forms where the people who use it can find it.

I’m down with giving to Patreon to keep the forums open, but I also think the forums should also be migrated to another backend that’s more cost effective. Otherwise it’ll keep hemorrhaging cash at a rate of $2k a month, and we’ll be back at the same problem before we know it.
