I keep reading about how cable is all AHVB, in the training center standing HVB is the same damage, I couldn’t get any air combos to go into it. So just wondering if someone could explain why AHVB is better than HVB.
I primarily play team clockw0rk, on the rare occasion I get down to just Doom I usually get killed quick. I’ve been looking to get better on him and could use some tips. I’ve also been trying to get his infinite to work but its not really happening.
I expect there are some launch variation but I’ve been following this one from gamefaqs…
lk, mk, /, lk, mp, hk… at this point it’s spose to go into repetitions of fly & kicks but if I get the fly mode to work I usualy either get bounced back or the opponents already fallen back down. I’ve seen the vid of this and it’s pose to just keep going up and up.
I’m currently only good with Sent & Strider, my magneto/storm suck I can only ever seem to do well with them on training center. I often die on mag trying to dash in and combo into a launch and try grav xx tempest.
AHVB = better in every way. You can chain them, it comes out faster, and he recovers faster after it. Basically ALWAYS use ahvb.
Doom = sj.fp and purple projectiles. If you hit your opponent with c.lk do his BnB combo which is, cr.lk cr.mk cr.fp sj.lk sj.mp sj.mk sj.hk dash --> xx air super
His infinite you just sj.lk sj.mp sj.hk xx fly, f.lk f.mp f.hk xx fly repeat once more, now you should be at the top of the screen {xx fly f.lk f.hk} repeat.
Watching matches does help your Magneto too and you shouldn’t really be doing a launcher then straight into magic series then grav xx tempest because most players can mash out of it real easily so i would suggest you learn his Rom infinite
I can’t seem to get dooms infinite to work at all, I get 5-6 hits and the opponent falls or I get bounced away, I think the bounce away is from the f.hk, I try to get in fly mode but the kick comes out instead and I either end up bounced back or flying while the opponents landed.
Could you give me the notation for the ROM infinite & also the triangle jumping, I have an idea of what it is but I would like to check.
In real matches I can’t seem to get from opposite sides of the screen to up close with me on the offense, should I be jumping in or dashing? (on mag) I assume dashing but I usually end up dashing straight into them hitting me or blocking.
super jump and then dash down+forward
given it’s name because you travel a triangle
Instead of learning rom, I recommend you first learn five fierce. When you catch your opponent in a c.lk, then do c.hp, sj hp, dash down+forward immediately and do hp, hk. The second you land, do c.hk, the slide should connect.
You shouldn’t be predictable, and at different times there’s a different answer. Times it’s better to dash, others to tri jump. If they hit you every time you dash in to them, then dash in and then block, then counter attack their attack.
