So well described Tebby. I’ve always wanted to say the exact same thing but I’m not very articulate in my analogies there. Well done.
MMA doesn’t always relate to 3s but there are a lot of similar comparisons one can see.

Louicipher please don’t spread false information.
ken can reversal jinrai both yun and chuns sweep (low hk) on block.
Ken can punish everything with sa3
Why on Earth would you want to play like that dude? He’s awful.
Ken can even chuashi jinrai Chun’s cr.RH on block, that move is hella unsafe!
if you use it wrong.

I see now, based on everyone’s reactions and explanations lol.
On another note, everyone’s advice is helping me. Now I’m punishing my friends when they do point blank c.HK and catching them with my jab and short pokes when they dash in recklessly and try to wake-up c.RH.
You banged your head on the keyboard, but didn’t hit [Space]? Impressive!
using low jab or low short to stop dash ins do work but in the ken vs ken match I don’t think intentionally throwing those moves out to stop it is as optimal. Sometimes throwing out st mp or low mp so that you can confirm into jinrai is good. other times if you can react to the dash mp hp TC or jump back rh.
low mk can also stop dashes but its slower than low mp as well as more recovery.

I said they were new to the game XD
Regardless of whether or not they’re new or a veteran, doing things like that don’t really improve yourself as a player.

That’s like me with Chun and doing nothing but standing fierce. If the opponent isn’t blocking, does that mean I should keep doing it? Yea, you’ll get the win and whatnot, but what do you learn out of it? Especially for a player like you who is basically still in the learning stage

Thanks! I don’t use mp as much as I should besides using c.mp to build meter but I’ll incorporate it more into my play!
What are statement are you referring to so I can get some context. ^^; My opponent is the one doing the wake-up c.HK if that’s what you’re talking about.
I just realize your statement regarding the c.HK makes no sense.

How does one dash in and wake up c.HK? Unless they’re Hakan sliding.

No, You’re misinterpreting my sentence. They are two separate situations. What I mean is “…when they dash in recklessly and (when they) try to wake-up c.RH.”
once you start thinking like this, it will just naturally come to you over time. at first you’re punishing point blank blocked sweeps, eventually you’re counterpoking or reversaling whiffed low forwards. just keep at it, and keep posting here. let us know how it goes as you keep improving!
